Exactly the adapter I needed to connect a massager I was given as a gift. It works perfectly and was very easy to use.

Like most, if not all, the low-star raters, I thought this was a piece of junk. It barely powered my car hand-vac. Upon doing some simple reading, I found that the wattage and the Amps on my Vac is more than what this product says that it supports. So it was my fault. Buyer, don't just look at the Volts supported. More and most important is the Wattage of your device and the Amps. My vac says 8.8 Amps, 12 volts, 106 Watts (8.8 x 12). This product was advertised as 2 Amps, 12 Volts hence only 24 Watts. The required and supplied wattage were way off! Do this: check the watt and Amp requirement on your device before you buy one of these converters. There are other converters here on Amazon that has 12V 10A 120W, some even higher and some lower. Just check first.

I'm dumbfounded at the number of good ratings for this adapter. The ones I've seen simply make claims, but don't actually show what they're claiming -- they don't show any devices being run while this is plugged in. The MAXIMUM wattage for this adapter is 24W. What the heck kind of device are you going to power under 24W that has a cigarette lighter plug? The vast majority of the Q&A are "Will this work with an air/tire pump?" The answer is not unless it's for a tiny little pump that inflates tires on a car made for insects. I mean MAYBE it'd handle a weak little pump to inflate a beach ball, but I wouldn't put money on it. But see, tire pumps are PRECISELY the thing that such an adapter is desired to be used for. Many tire/air pumps are equipped with a cigarette lighter power plug, but sadly don't come with an optional adapter for a wall outlet. Why? I have no idea. It's certainly something that folks would want to do if they notice IN THEIR GARAGE that their tires are looking low, and instead of wasting precious gasoline to run the car in order to power the pump, one could just plug the ciggy-plug into the adapter and that into the wall. And off you go inflating your tires! My tire/air pump is 124W. So this adapter does diddly squat. Hey, I suppose somehow it's my fault for not running outside to the garage to discover the wattage of my tire pump, but who'd've even thunk it that such an adapter would be so powerless. I really, really, really, really want to know what sort of devices anyone is using successfully with this adapter. Sadly the time for returns has passed, as I was too busy to check to see if it'd work on my tire pump. Totally disappointed.

New GMC Sierra's don't have a cigarette lighter so i bought this thinking i could use all of my old accessories. For the most part, i can, but i have some 12v tire changing tools that use a cigarette lighter. For some reason not enough power comes from this adapter to use the tools. I disconnected the had to use the 12v on my ATV to get the power i needed. (cord wasn't long enough to go from the trailer tire to the truck battery). works for phone chargers and other items, but didn't seem to put the actual 12v out that I needed.
