Waterproof Viscose Mattress Protector, Double Bed 135x190x30 cm

This mattress protector is a lifesaver! It fits perfectly and stays in place without sliding around. The best part is that it is completely silent—there is no annoying "crinkle" sound when you move, and it feels just like a regular sheet. It is truly waterproof and has already protected my mattress from spills. Excellent quality and great value for money. Highly recommend!

Slept on one last night and it was a perfect fit for my single bed and felt really nice to sleep on without another sheet on top. The material is soft and slightly padded and very comfortable, and because the fit is so good, the sheet didn't slip about and I had a really good night's sleep. I've always used mattress protectors just for the sake of keeping the mattress nice and clean, but occasionally I've been glad of their waterproof properties and this gives me peace of mind if I'm ever unwell. I also picked this brand because of its green credentials and although I only have one night's experience to go on, I'm very happy with this purchase.

Really pleased with this product. Comfortable, slightly padded top layer that definitely feels cooler than other waterproof protectors to sleep on, amd so much quieter than other waterproof proetctors I've had in the past - it doesn't rustle like a plastic sheet every time you move. A must when you've a lightly sleeping baby in the room with you you! It is fantastically waterproof - baby has tested this thouroughly with major nappy leaks on the bed, and not a drop has passed through. In fact, it's so waterproof that if it gets in the wrong position in the washing machine the water doesn't spin through even on the highest spin speed - I went to take it out of the machine, and there was a puddle of water inside it!! A minor issue which I was happy to have though, as it shows the quality of the waterproofing, and just made sure it was turned the other way around for another spin and came out perfectly. Also goes through the tumble dryer, so was able to wash and dry easily in a day, even when it's raining so can't hang up outside, to pop back on the bed again. As others have said, the green bamboo leaf pattern does show through pale sheets, but that doesn't really bother me, though it would be preferable without - wouldn't stop me buying another though as the function is the important thing, and that is great. Have had cheaper waterproof protectors in the past, but this is worth every extra penny and I'll be buying more for other beds in the house.

The protector feels lovely and soft to the touch on the top part that covers the mattress, the skirting is quite thin and very stretchy and the elastic is quite weak I feel that it could be made of better quality material to take this product up a grade, with stronger elastic too. It does work as it is but to change those 2 things it would be far superior. Overall the product is ok, apart from having to straighten it out when you change the bedding. It was bought to replace a very cheap waterproof protector which was very plasticy, made me sweat terribly, so much so it disturbed me all night , this one in comparison is quite heavenly to sleep on, it doesnt rustle, it has a slight noise , but really slight and doesnt disturb, its quite cool to sleep on and its great that it gives peace of mind against staining and spills. Overall it is a good product, I am happy enough with it, it does the intended job ok its just slightly annoying that it does move a fair bit, but not so much it doesnt potect anymore, it just creeps and goes wonky a bit. It is the best I have found so far though so don't let my moan put you off.

I have brought quite a few mattresses protectors over the years and his is by far the best one yet. Fantastic quality and a perfect fit.

Have had this for a year now and it protects the mattress top perfectly. We do a layered method and have a pure white waterproof cover, then this bamboo waterproof on top, then the sheet on top. Our white waterproof layer still looks brand new and of course our mattress still looks brand new! Best decision we ever made and when this bamboo cover reaches its life (it's still going strong), we'll buy this again. We machine wash it and then put it on for an extra spin, no fabric softener. It's still holding up very well. Has deep sides so it stays on perfectly. Great value for the money. Has protected our mattress from spills more than once. Cheers.

Perfect does the job

This is the second one I've bought of these & personally I think they're the best mattress cover on the market 👍

Fits the bed and soft. I sleep warm and this did not make me warm at night. We purchased to keep beds clean due to pets and guests.

Volevo quindi proteggere il materasso senza rinunciare al comfort. ⸻ 👍 Cosa mi è piaciuto * Impermeabile efficace: protegge bene tutta la superficie del materasso * Traspirante: non dà la sensazione di sudare durante la notte * Morbido e confortevole, non rigido o plastificato * Silenzioso: non fa quel classico rumore “plasticoso” dei coprimaterassi economici * Facile da mettere sul materasso ⸻ 👎 Cosa è importante sapere * Solo la parte superiore è impermeabile: i lati non lo sono, quindi va tenuto presente * Durante il lavaggio va fatta attenzione: meglio lavaggi delicati o a freddo (max 40°), perché temperature alte possono rovinare lo strato impermeabile * Dopo il lavaggio risulta molto bagnato e pesante (normale, vista la struttura impermeabile interna) 👉 Io lo stendo con la parte impermeabile verso l’alto così l’acqua scorre meglio e asciuga più velocemente. Non posso dare indicazioni sull’asciugatrice perché non la utilizzo. ⸻ 🔧 Esperienza dopo mesi di utilizzo Dopo qualche mese ne ho acquistato anche un secondo identico. I really like this mattress pad. My only criticism is that the Bamboo markings and advertising give the impression that it is 100% (or at least mostly) bamboo, but looking more closely at the Amazon description, and the label on the pad, it is 80% polyester, and just 20% bamboo viscose. Viscose (related to rayon) is made by dissolving the bamboo then chemically processing the solution to produce the viscose fibres. Viscose is not as "natural" as cotton or wool where plant/animal fibres are cleaned then directly spun into threads that are woven into fabrics, but viscose begins with bamboo rather than petrochemicals that are the source material for synthetic fibres like polyester. Viscose is not considered a plastic. It is made from plant based cellulose (in this case bamboo) and it biodegrades quickly (often faster than cotton). Polyester is a plastic, so this bamboo mattress cover contains 20% less plastic compared with the comparable polyester version. Bamboo grows very quickly so it is considered more environmentally friendly than wood. This pad is excellent value. The top quilting is soft. The waterproof coating on the underside is silent. The quilting is plush enough that it doesn't feel like sleeping on something that is waterproof. If I hadn't seen the coating on the bottom and read that this was waterproof I would not have known. It feels just like sleeping on my old non-waterproof quilted polyester mattress pad. Large deep sides make this really easy to slip onto the mattress. Some might think it fits a bit loose. That's because it it fits thick mattresses so there is a lot of material on the sides. In the old days matresses were similar in thickness so fitted sheets and mattress pads could fit tightly. This mattress pad may seem to fit loosely on a thin mattress. The elastic and the fact that a lot of the side fabric is folded under the mattress ensures that the pad stays in place. Just smooth out the top before putting on the bottom sheet. I have used coated fabric in outdoor clothing for decades. I expect that this "waterproof" coating is probably quite waterproof when new, but that it will gradually wear out with time from being slept on, from washing/drying, and from natural aging of the coating. When you move in bed the sheets and this pad slide against each other and against the mattress which produces a bit of wear. Washing and tumble drying cause the coating to rub against fabric a lot more which will cause a lot more wear. In addition, coatings like this age due to exposure to the environment, including oxygen, body secretions/fluids, sunlight (if you dry it on a clothesline make the coating face away from the sun and don't leave it out longer than necessary). For me, this is ok. I got this mattress pad for my senior cat so I don't need this to remain waterproof for too many years. I expect that it will remain a decent mattress pad long after the waterproof coating is no longer reliable. As someone else noted, the marking on the pad will show through some sheets, particularly white ones. Given that this is only 20% bamboo, if the markings are a problem I'd just buy the polyester version.
