BH Cosmetics 120 Color Eyeshadow, 3rd Edition

Beautiful palette of color. I also have the 1st edition palette. I bought that one first having never tried or heard of this brand before. Within a week of receiving that one, I ordered the 4th edition. I pull my colors from each one each use. So many different options. I love the shimmer each has. It's best if you use a primer as most of these colors will wear off pretty quickly. I like NYX primer pots. I have one in shimmer and matte. I use E.L.F brushes, my fingers and cotton swabs for application. Goes on smoothly. Pigmented well. Some of the super super light shades barely show up, but that's to be expected. I use those to get more shimmer without more color. These colors can be applied wet or dry. For daytime I use them dry. For extra drama at night, I apply them wet. When they dry the color is more intense. I have also been using a product, also by E.L.F. that is an eyeliner sealer. It can also be used to turn any shadow into a liner. This has been awesome. So many different looks.So many people complain about the size of the pots. That they are too small. I have had my palette for almost a year and have barely made a dent in use. Those that complain they didn't feel like they got full size pots are either high or the kind of girls who use paint rollers and Spackle to apply their make up. For optimal use, I have found it's better to build colors up. Start with a small amount on your applicator of choice, apply until there is nothing left on the applicator, redip into your color and add another layer until you get the color and intensity you desire.I will be ordering a few more sets for christmas gifts. All of my girlfriends (and a couple of the guys) have been drooling over my palettes. Especially my nieces.

I have read & watched many reviews on the BH Cosmetics 120 palettes. I chose the 3rd edition because I would use these colors more than the other editions. The packaging is extremely nice & very well put together. However, when I opened it up & removed the top tray the matte black was broken. It didn't make a huge mess & stayed well intact in it's own circle so I may be able to salvage it. I absolutely love the case! It seems like a very sturdy plastic casing that is extremely easy to open with an inch wide slim button right in front. It has a large mirror in the lid, where you can not only see what your doing if you were to use it but it's big enough you can see your whole face in it. This palette has every color range in mattes, satin & shimmers. I didn't swatch all of them but I picked a variety of colors from the lights to the darks. I was a bit disappointed on how some didn't show up too well. So investing in a good primer will have to be next on my list. The darker shades however, are very well pigmented. The scent the product gives off smells like paint, which isn't a big deal. I'm sure it won't leave your eyes smelling like paint or that any one will be so close to sniff your seductive lids. But the scent is a bit powering when you first open the case. I'm definitely happy with my purchase & can't wait to start playing with different looks.

I was really looking forward to buying a make up palette. The trouble was that there are too many and i didn`t know which one to pick! Eventually i picked this one because i liked that there were greyish and brownish tones more than vivid colors and it is at a very good price.Well, this palette does its work. The colors i need [the browns, greys, dark oranges, and even the vivid red/orange(that coral color)] are very pigmented and look very nice(also the shimmering ones!!). The blues are beautiful also. However, some colors like those light ones are not very pigmented and does not really show up altough i use a primer every time(so, for example, i have to use another product for the white color).I was a bit afraid of the shipping part because a lot of people complaint about crashed eyeshadows and so on, but mine came beautifully bubble-wrapped and i was thrilled that each and every eyeshasow was intact! It`s awesome that no damage occured. The package is great, and there is a mirror attached to the inside of the palette which is very nice! (i didn`t know that it will come with one)All in all, i think that for this price (i paid 16$), the product is better than expected and if you are looking for darker colors, then this is the palette you need. Altough i like it very much, i gave it only 4 stars beacuse of the lighter colors.

I was pretty excited about getting this after watching several online videos about the palette online. I usually wear high end makeup but was willing to give this a shot after reading and seeing all the positive reviews. The first time I put them on without a primer just as a test and they made my lids feel kind of itchy. The pigments are pretty rich but you MUST wear a good primer to really make them pop and last (I didn't feel the itchiness with the primer). They seem to last about as long as the higher end brands that I usually wear.Overall, I say they are okay not amazing like everyone makes them seem. I got the 4th edition (all shimmer) and the 2nd addition (shimmer and matte) and I definitely feel like the 4th edition better. The shimmers seem to pop a lot more than the mattes (I guess this is typical) and also blend better. I could hardly get the mattes in the 2nd edition to blend at all (this could be my brush), they seemed really dull. I wish the different colors were numbered so it would be easy to remember which colors I really like.Also, I think the 4th edition is great for anyone with dark skin like me. The lighter colors and mattes hardly showed up on my skin which defeats the purpose of wearing eyeshadow to me. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good value and a lot of different shades. But spend the money on a high end primer (UD) and good brushes and these should work fine!

I bought this product about a year ago, and when I got it the colour pigmentation was okay, and the quality was good vs the price of the palette. After a year of use I can say that for the price of the palette, you really cannot complain.The product is a little talc-y as explained in other reviews, but not a major obstacle if you can apply make-up properly. There is a bit of fallout but nothing a brush can't brush away in a swift, and if primer is used the make-up is stable on the eye.I recommend this palette to beginners, and/or people who want to have more colours in their life but mainly for the purpose of blending and / or experimenting. The colour isn't as strong (pigmented) as that of say a MAC shadow, but when 120 colours here compares to the price of 1 MAC powder, I'd say they did a good job!Overall, I am happy with this product, and I don't think you'll be disappointed. Around £15 for 120 colours is a bargain any day! P.S the packaging is lush!

This is a very chalky palette, I don't regret buying it as it was so cheap but I wouldn't buy it again. The palette came nicely packaged and no shadows had cracked, The colours are bright over primer don't get me wrong but the texture is hit or miss. I don't dislike this product but it's not worth raving over.

Colours were very pigmented and lasts for a long period of time. The colours differed from each other meaning there was a wide variation of colours to choose from. The browns are of different shades which allows you to pick out a specific brown shade.

The eyeshadows are really pigmented. However the shimmered eyeshadows are not. Another downside is that the bronze eyeshadow was broken. Overall I am a satisfied customer.

I enjoy using these eye shadows. Really pigmented and a great selection of colours
