is this product stainless steel or carbon steel wool?

I think that the difference between Liberon SW and many of the others is that the oil used in the processing is washed out of the SW. I believe that it is a carbon steel but I can not state that with 100% certainty. This SW does rust if that is at all helpful

Can this be used on a belt sander?

This is a very fine steel wool that can be easily pulled apart and used for hand sanding. It would fall apart on a belt sander.

how long is the 1/2 lb roll when extended?
