Mounts well and yields good light
The magnetic base is not as smooth action for setting and releasing as a premium base is but it's acceptable, especially given that it won't get moved much if ever. The gripping power which is the bigger factor is very good. I throws good light and the switch feels good. Does what I want for my drill press application. I haven't had it long enough to comment on longevity, only initial experience.

Nice little light.
Nice little light, not too bright, magnet works great. The switch is kinda small but it works just fine. The power cord could be longer, it's like 24" long. 36" would've been better. Overall nay a bad little light.

Very good!!!!
Really good light. Magnet is very strong and I've placed it on the top of my bandsaw and the light is angled properly towards my work. All good.

It'll work
The first one I received was missing the rubber grommet at the base of the stem and the cord broke off within minutes of opening the box. I quickly received a replacement, about 5 days, and the second one has the rubber grommet so hopefully it fares better. Issues: the magnet is a little weak, it does better on unpainted metal than painted. The switch to turn the magnet on/off is locked down if you tighten the arm for the light down all the way. The bolt head pushed up against the mechanism inside that rotates and makes it so you can't rotate it if the arm is fully tightened. The arm will loosen if the light head is placed in certain positions. Good things: super bright The cord is decently long and the switch for the light is closer to the light than the plug. The adjustable arm has plenty of tension to hold the light head in whatever position you place it in, providing it doesn't pull the magnet off or loosen the bolt. All in all I am happy with it and it will work for what I want. I would have paid more for a better constructed one but I couldn't find any.

Great little light
I actually purchased this light to mount on my drill press. After seeing how bright it is, and how strong the magnet it, I mounted on my reloading press. The adjustable arm is long enough, the magnet is super strong, and the light is perfect for illuminating the work area. Now I'll have to purchase another one for the dill press.

Poorly designed and executed, junk
The positives, the light brightness is ok, the large base magnets are strong and operate smoothly on and off. The negatives are the goose neck is not locked into the base, no lock nuts, or welds, it will unscrew itself with any attempted movement of the light head. Loctite doesn't help the treads are too loose and the screw in threaded piece is maybe 1/4 inch diameter, too small for all that mass, 20 inch flex neck and the light head just loosen from the base when you try to adjust the head light. Head lamp itself is also loose and difficult to get tightened. Sorry but this thing cost over $70 and is built like a $20 dollar knock. off.

Not as good as the price suggests.
I have many decades of experience in fabrication and design prototyping. My home shop is a maker’s wet dream. I had a Luxo Lamp as my Mill/Drill work light and wanted to upgrade to LED Gooseneck, that I could relocate. The magnetic base on this lamp is very good! Nice and strong enough, and if you are attaching to to cast iron or heavy (1/4“ thick or greater) steel, it has plenty of grip to mount to vertical surfaces. The gooseneck on this lamp is, like most, protected by a HDPE corrugated tubing sleeve. Fine. The lamp head is nicely made aluminum, with a solid-feeling push button switch. The three LED emitters are a bit weak for machine shop task lighting. I would like 50% greater illumination. YMMV, but that is hey I downgraded this rating. It is NOT $70.00+ of LED light. Honestly, the lighting is the EASY part! They cut corners, but charged for them too. Sure, nice build. The goal here is HOT lighting. Not great.
