Great product
I use this to shape Electric guitar bodies. 1 3/4" thick materials, using a spiral bit is a must to avoid chipout. These are well made and worth every penny!

Great for trimming solid butcher block to pattern.
I used bit, along with a DIY plywood sink pattern, to flush trim 1.5” solid Maple Butcherblock for under mount installation. I started with a 1/4” shank straight flush bit but quickly realized how awful and dangerous it was. This Whiteside router bit worked SO well. Very happy with the outcome.

Perfect results!
My only complaint about this beautifully crafted router bit, that gave me remarkable results? Why didn’t I buy one sooner?Typical Whiteside quality. Typical Whiteside quality results!

This bit is junk broke very easy
This bit is junk, it broke while cutting ¾ in particular board, u was able to cut about 10 inches total befor the bit broke. I have use many other router bits on particular board with no problems. This bit is just junk.

Robust!
I purchased the same bit including bearings and straight (three flutes): Whiteside model #RFTD5200 and #RU5200T.They are for medium and heavy work like (typically found at) Carpentry and some heavier furniture making. It is psychologically comfortable to use a such heavy duty bit as you will feel it is very improbable it breaks even at difficult situations. You can feel the bit is very solid. After a couple of months I did not have a chance to use it in a real job but I made a pair of very successful tests and I am convinced it will not frustrate me when at actual use. Recommended.

Great Bit
Great bit, cuts well! Use in a table set up, not to be used free hand.

Beautiful Tool
Used this to edge countertops that were not rectangular. It's a pleasure to use. Cuts 1-1/4" wood like butter. Zero, and I mean *zero*, tear-out on the top edge. Followed my pattern (hand shaped in 1/8" plywood) perfectly. Because it's so sharp, it's easy to control. It never gets even warm, even when you push it right along.
