Meet "Cano-sapien" the next, heroic step in the evolution of man's best friend! After the evil General Parvo unleashes Professor Shepherd's inventions upon the world, mutating dogs into monsters, Professor Shepherd recruits an international team of canines and "transdogmafies" them into super-heroic, humanoid crime-fighters. From the White House hails Hunter, the leader of the pack; from 10 Downing Street comes high-kicking Colleen; from the German Chancellery bounds hard-biting Blitz; from the Kremlin comes eye-blasting Exile; and from the Swiss Confederation comes devout coward, Shag. And waiting in the wings is Muzzle, their maniac secret weapon, confined to gurney and mask until the chips are down and some savagery is most definitely on the menu. The Road Rovers face off against myriad menaces, all across time and space, in this 2-Disc, 13-Episode complete series collection. It's time to hit the road - Roooad Rovers! Review: Don’t be a weird boy😜 - Just finished the series today and I gotta say, I love it! I was only three when this show was on TV, so I missed out on a really cool cartoon. If you love silly 90’s cartoons you will love Road Rovers. My favorite scene is the “tanks” scene. Hunter: Hey Blitz, you wanna biscuit? Blitz: Tanks Hunter: Your welcome. Blitz: No, tanks. Hunter: Are you sure? It’s tasty, try it. Blitz: Tanks. Hunter: Your welcome. Blitz: No, Tanks! Hunter: What’s with you, do you want it or not? Blitz: Tanks! Hunter: Your welcome! Blitz: NO TANKS!!! Hunter: WELL MAKE UP YOUR MIND!!! BOOM!!! Hunter: Oh tanks, now I get it, funny! Blitz: (Facepalm) My only issue with the DVD is the fact that the “Russian name game” song in episode 13 was discredited. If you ever watched the show as a kid you probably know what I’m talking about. The scene involved a bit where they sing a song about naming children, it sounds cute at first, but when you get to the end they sing a verse that sounds dangerously close to Son of a $&@#%. Now honestly, I can understand why WB would censor that scene and remove it entirely, but you would think that the DVD collection would feature the original uncensored version of that episode, but I guess not. Some people have theorized that that scene was the reason for the show’s premature cancellation. I seriously doubt it, 90’s cartoons were more forgiving back then. In an age where gun violence, smoking cigarettes and political jokes were still common in cartoons, I seriously doubt that “cursing” twice in one episode caused the show’s cancellation. I really wish I new about cartoons like the Road Rovers when I was a kid. I was born in 1993, a good three years before the show was aired. I missed out on a lot of good shows. I wish I was born 1990, that way I could have been a true 90’s kid and seen all the cool stuff. Bottom line, if you watched Road Rovers as a kid, here’s Your chance to watch them again! If you’ve never seen them before (like me), give them a chance and you will love them too. The Road Rovers may have been short lived, but it’s still a great show, and I’d watch The Rovers any day over the cartoons that are being made now. TO THE POWER OF THE PACK!!! AWOOOOOOOOOOO!!! Review: Great! - I remember this cartoon series growing up.

Finally at long last!
I never thought I’d see the day that Road Rovers would ever be on DVD! I’ve never forgotten this show and how much it ment to me when I was a kid. Over the years I’ve wished so hard for the chance to see it again after years of checking streaming services and to now be able to own it on DVD is genuinely one of the coolest things to ever happen to me digital media wise. I highly recommend getting this if you even slightly remember the show it’s even better than I remember and I binge watched it all in 2 days and the nostalgia and happiness is real. So grateful that this is on dvd thank you!

BEST TV SHOW EVER, MUST BUY!
Just watched all 13 episodes in one day, seriously it's that good, you'll be hooked after 5 minutes and laughing till the last. The only downer is the exclusion of one scene involving the Russian name song, episode 13, that involves the name sonovavitch or something, but this can be seen in grainy format on YouTube and could be just a mistake as the very controversial previously excluded scene involving Prince Charles and Princess Diana is included. I'm not overly bothered by lack of extras and the small amount of episodes is what keeps this series fresh, just wish I could borrow Shag's bazooka for my alarm in the morning.

Let's hit the DVD players, Road Rover Fans!
While the 2-disc set lacks special features, it is absolutely awesome to finally have access to this show. Road Rovers is a fun, snarky, tongue-in-cheek parody of the more serious "Humanoid Animal Hero" cartoons of the time. It gained a cult following from its original run on WB, and subsequent run on Cartoon Network, following its abrupt cancellation (fans protested the cancellation by sending in tennis balls to the Warner Bros. Studios). This is a must-have for the fans who have been waiting so long to see one of their favorite shows again. I gladly recommend this to anyone with a good sense of humor and a love of mid-90's era cartoons. A few words of warning for those not familiar with the show: It is really not PC, and some of the references may come across as being a bit dated (the cartoon was made circa 1995). And there are a few dark and emotional moments, that are rare for cartoons of this type. There are also some high-brow jokes that may take a bit of research to understand. In my own opinion, these are not bad things. But some more sensitive or younger viewers may not be an appropriate audience for this cartoon.

I got this with some of my birthday money and it’s pretty good! I heard about this show on social media and was interested in watching the full series and wanted a physical copy. I’m satisfied 👍

Brand new, but only one episode wont play.
Awesome remembered cartoon, my only reason for minus 1 star is because one episode is unwatchable, wont play but others do. This is a brand new dvd set.

I really enjoyed this show! the characters are endearing, the episodes well paced and the slapstick comedy works most of the time, despite i didn't love the final episode and episode 10 i really recommend this show, it's a shame that warner cancelled it after only 13 episodes and the audio and video quality is excellent The dvd arrived in perfect conditions, great vendor.

What's not to love? If like me, you remember the original tv series, just buy it!! I was over the moon when I saw the series finally released on dvd, and even happier when it played in my dvd player! It says it is Region 1 in the advert, but I cannot find anything on the discs or box that says this, so I don't know if it is perhaps region free? Either way, it played, the quality is great and I can return to my childhood days and enjoy watching Hunter, Colleen, Exile, Blitz, Shag and Muzzle in their exploits to save the world from the evil General Parvo!! My advice, if you loved it then, you will love it now. Buy it, watch it, and make everybody who has never seen it watch it too! :)
