Q: does this fit a 96 suburban 1500? amazon says it doesnt?

This will only fit the 4WD K1500 Suburban with torsion bar suspension. It will not work on the coil spring models.

Q: Does this require shock extenders after install ?

Shock extenders aren't required for this kit, however extended shocks may increase ride quality. We always recommend installing the kit and seeing how you like the ride quality before purchasing extended shocks
