PropperACU NYCO Patrol Cap, Water Repellent, Mil-Spec, OCP

The quality on the patrol cap is great but they run small. After reading many reviews, I ordered mine two sizes larger than I normally wear. It will work but it’s still a little tight so I used hot water and stretched it a bit. Now it fits just right.

From a quality standpoint, this is a nice item. The bill is very stiff (which I like), and it's every bit as good as mil-issue, maybe even better. The problem is the sizing. The sizes are highly inaccurate. I normally wear a 7 3/8, which is what I originally ordered, but it was so small that it did not even come close to fitting. I sent it back and got a 7 3/4, which normally would be way too large for me, but it fits well. If you order, be sure to select a size or two above what you would normally wear. This aside, it's a good cap.

I followed the advice of other purchasers and ordered 2 sizes larger than my usual hat size. And... it was too big. Otherwise, the quality was good and appeared to match my issued OCP cover. I sent it back.

This patrol cap seems to be better made and higher quality than what is issued. The brim of the hat is thicker and stronger. The sizi v is perfect.

I read another review stating these patrol caps from propper run a little small, so i measured and sized up. my head measures right at 23 inch circumference, divided by 3.14 = 7.32, rounded up gives me a hat size of 7 3/8. since i read other reviews stating they run small, i order a 7 5/8 size, (TWO sizes larger than what i should wear) and it is still too small. They don't have any larger sizes than this, so I guess ill be returning.

Was way smaller then expected.
