UGREEN USB C Hub HDMI 6-IN-1 Type C Hub with 100W Power Delivery Charging, 2USB 3.0 Ports, TF/SD Card Reader, Compatible with Macbook Pro/Macbook Air 2021, XPS, iPad Pro 2021/2010

I have the Apple Mac Pro that I use at work, home and travelling. I have a Thunderbolt Doc for work that allows me to run multiple monitors, keyboard, mouse and so on with plugging in a single USB-C Thunderbolt lead. At home I have a single monitor, plus keyboard and mouse and while travelling the same, and may connect a monitor or TV in the Hotel. I wanted something simple that would allow a single plug into the Mac with pass through power and USB BT device for the other bits. Did a lot of looking and This appeared to have what I wanted as well as the SD and MicroSD card readers which was a bonus. Initial impressions on unboxing were that it was extremely well made. Aluminium case, strong lead. Today was the first opportunity to try it. Plugged the HDMI, monitor lead, BT receiver, power supply then the USB-C connector from this into the Mac and everything worked first time. Mac is showing the Power simple on the battery. No drain in power that might happen if not enough power was getting through. 4K Monitor showing as if it was plugged directly into the Mac and BT Mouse working as well. Just noticed that it is very warm, bordering hot. So Aluminium is the right thing to make it with. A compact well built device, it is really good and the colour pretty much matches the darker grey of the Macs. Being picky I'd like an extra 3+ inches on the lead. If the Mac is on a stand, then it can hang a little in the air. Time will tell on the heat issue and will get pack if it becomes a problem. The USB-C lead

This product has been used to link my iPad to projectors and TV screens. I’ve shared presentations with colleagues and sports games with the family whilst away in a hotel (using the hotel TV). Another bonus is that you can charge while using the product, a feature that many do not have. It’s been seamless and would advise anyone who is wanting to screen share to look into this product. You can spend much more on other products that do exactly the same thing.

I've been using this quite a lot for the past couple of years and it has been really working well, but it does warm up with use. It's light and small, so easy to carry everywhere with the laptop. However, lately it's really been overheating and this has affected the function of the USBs that were attached, so I've limited its use.

Since I had this, I never touched any other dongle again. It's the only hub I found with this great of selection ports at this low price. I bought this because I have previously bought cables from UGREEN and they were above excellent, and this is not different, it has a really good build quality. UGREEN definitely has respect from me. Most hubs at this price won't even include SD cards, however this has both the both the mini SD and the full SD card. They even have 2 of usb 3.0 ports (usb 2.0 has slow speeds, good only for keyboard and mouse). There's also an HDMI and USB-C port. There is 1 downside to this hub: There is no ethernet port, however for me personally that was not a deal breaker; just keep in mind, if you really need it, I'm pretty sure UGREEN sells other hubs as well with the ethernet port. This is the only accessory I use with my MacBook Pro and I really recommend it.

For a peripheral device this hasn't lasted long at all and I expected longevity from the UGREEN brand. The device feels solid, well made, smooth edges, premium feel and external materials feel quality. The hub has been connected to a laptop USB C port, along with the laptop USB charger for power pass through to the laptop, an external monitor permanently connected via HDMI and a USB Bluetooth dongle. The device ran hot, almost too hot to touch at time. During the hottest summer days the monitor signal was distorted (fixed by plugging the monitor directly into the laptop HDMI port). At some stage the USB A ports and SD card reader controller has blown, so the hub is not longer a hub as such.

My Google Pixelbook has 2 USB-C ports but previously I used one for HDMI to a TV and the other for power during long conference calls but sometimes I wanted to use a wireless mouse and keyboard as well, remote from the Pixelbook. Using this adapter I can plug in my TV, power lead, and two wireless adapters for mouse & keyboard which work brilliantly. As others have noted, the USB-C hub runs warm when in use, but that's to be expected as it has quite of lot of processing to do in a small package, but with a metal case the heat should dissipate without problems. I have also used the Hub with a Galaxy Note tablet and Sony phone and whilst neither supports HDMI output, the power supply, wireless keyboard & mouse ports work fine.

I needed away to connect my Mac mini M1 version to my old Apple 23 Cinema Display as the HDMI output didn't work properly! This little baby because it outputs through thunderbolt fixed the problem....... Really pleased and it gives me loads more inputs perfect match!!!

This is a great hub, works really nicely with no issues. I just thought I would write this review to make people who have OCD like me that whilst it works really well, the space grey colour is not exactly the same as Apple's Space grey it does not quite match, it's very close but not exact. It is just a tad lighter. Just be aware of that if you are a fuss pot like me!! Just for the record I have a 2020 MacBook Pro, Space Grey.

I love the Ugreen brand you will see the premium quality of each product. This one works perfectly, it will do its job, from extra USB ports to up to 4k screens perfectly. the only downside is when you use the PD power you will feel some heat in the unit but since it's made of aluminum "I think" the heat disperses equally in the unit avoiding overheating it, unlike other brands which are made of plastic only.

Mon Macbook à reçu de l'eau, pas beaucoup, mais suffisamment pour qu'il s'arrête net. Bien décidé à sauvé ce p'tit gars que j'adore, je l'ai ouvert, nettoyé à l'alcool, séché et tenté de le rebrancher. Miracle, il démarre à nouveau, problème, il a perdu la mémoire, ne trouvant plus son ssd interne. Pour ne pas perdre tout mon investissement, j'ai donc vendu son écran sur un site d'enchères bien connu et pris ce hub branché au Mac avec écran et ssd externe et me voilà avec une sorte d'ordi hybride. Un Macbook fixe qui fait office de Mac Mini,.. un MacMiniBook en somme!😁 Bref, cet ensemble que j'utilise tous les jours depuis début Août fonctionne à merveille. La mise ne veille est bien gérée, un simple appui sur la touche espace et le Mac sort de veille comme n'importe quel autre modèle le ferai. Le hub chauffe un peu, mais ça n'a pas l'air d'être un problème. La seule chose qui me manque, c'est une seconde prise usb-c pour pouvoir y connecter mon ssd plutôt qu'en usb 3. Mais bon, pour l'instant, je n'ai eu aucune déconnexion ni plantage, l'ensemble est visiblement fiable et le hub ne perturbe pas le wifi. (j'avais eu le cas avec un modèle en plastique). Pour le prix, c'est un très bon article et vous ne devriez pas être déçus. Dans mon malheur, ça m'a permis de "sauver les meubles" par-rapport au coût d'achat du Macbook et de continuer à l'utiliser. Ganz gute Leistungen für so ein kompaktes Gerät. Alle wichtigen Anschlüsse, sogar ein Kartenslot. Kann man gut verstauen und ist robust für mobilen Einsatz.
