Each copper round consists of 1 AVDP ounce of .999 Fine Copper, and the obverse features the Canadian Maple Leaf. This design is inspired by the Canadian Gold Maple Leaf issued by the Royal Canadian Mint. Inscriptions surrounding the leaf read “CANADA,” “999” and “FINE COPPER 1 OUNCE AVDP.” The reverse depicts a decorative shield-like design showcasing the American flag, spread eagle wings, and the round’s weight and metal purity. The round’s edge is reeded and both the obverse and reverse are struck with a mirror-like finish. Each 1 oz Copper Maple Leaf was produced at the Osborne Mint using the highest levels of production quality. The mint was established in 1835 and regarded as the oldest Private Mint in America.
