This is an ESSENTIAL, Well Designed Product and everyone who uses batteries or has battery-operated products (all of us) needs one otherwise, you have no idea of the charge-status of your batteries... and don't just assume that batteries are always fresh with full-charge right out of the package or fresh when shipped/supplied with a battery-operated product. I have owned/used several battery-testing products and this one is by far the most versatile, convenient, quick and easy-to-use. Always TEST (even new) and DATE batteries (mo/'yr with a fine point 'sharpie' pen) at the time batteries are put into service in a device/product. Fortunately, manufacturers are trending towards more rechargeable batteries, but until then we all need our own battery 'tester' to know the charge-status of our batteries. This battery testing product is quick, easy-to-use and accurate... I use mine frequently and I would repurchase.

Super easy to use, and gives a very clear estimate of how much life the battery has left. Has saved us from tossing batteries that were still good. Really glad I bought this!

Do you have a drawer of used batteries that you collect from the holiday decorations?I don't want to store the decorations with the batteries in them so I take them out every year and keep them in a separate bag.Trying to determine which ones have gone bad is very difficult unless you have this tester.This works great! Very simple! Chacks many different types of batteries.This save on buying more batteries before you need to. Even after a battery is "Dead" it's still usually good for something like a calculator for a year or more. Don't recycle them till thet are ready!

I've gone through an number of what I call easy to use testers. This is the best of the lot; easy to use that is it not awkward to hold as are the other testers. All I am looking for is a yes/no readout an this does exactly that. It handles button batteries gracefully, cylinder batteries (AA, AAA, C and D) with virtually no fumbling, and 9 volt (li-ion and old school) very well, also not a problem with Cr and Cr123 li-ion and NiMh rechargeable. Since I don't buy carbon and stopped using NiCd have nothing to say about them regarding this tester. The issue of accuracy may be a little moot since it only registers good/bad.

I wasn't sure when I ordered it if it would really work for my batteries, but by they do I have all different sizes and it seems to find a way to do them all. I'd recommend this to anybody looking to check their batteries to make sure they are charged.
