Intimate Relationships

This book helped me understand relationships in more depth.

I took a college course that used this textbook and it was so informative and eye-opening in a day when culture and pop culture has blurred the lines of healthy relationships with dysfunctional relational practices. It was so good and practically helpful that I bought a second one!

Miller wrote Intimate Relationships with the information of a textbook (complete with research/study citations), though his conversational tone makes Intimate Relationships easy, if not enjoyable, to read.I rented this book because it was the required text for a college class I was taking. Having said that, I feel Intimate Relationships is an invaluable source for married couples. After several weeks of sharing what I learned with my husband, he began reading it with me. We gained insight and tools which benefitted and strengthened our relationship.

This book feels like a recruitment pamphlet for a conservative agency. What I got out of it was that if I do not find my one true love soon I will die alone and early and be miserable until sweet death finally claims me. Did not even touch on diverse relationships such as committed multi-partner relationships. There was a lovely single page on same-sex relationships.......but that was about it. It felt like there might be some kind of agenda and wish there was more unbiased data. Also they used outdated data which many Sociologists have proven to be blatantly false. Buy it if your GOA will suffer if you don’t. Otherwise there are better references

I bought this book for a class. It was very eye-opening. I have applied some of the research and techniques to my personal life and have seen a real change. I would recommend this book to anyone wanting to make a change in their relationships and in their lives. It was fascinating to read all of this research.

I had to read this for school and found this book to be decent. Not too bad to read through.

While this was a required textbook for a communication class, I found myself actually doing my readings for class.This book was a easy read and very enjoyable. Full of interesting facts that I've found myself citing in everyday conversation.I've even recommended the book to others just to read!

This was another book I had to get for a class. This book is well written and gives you a lot to think about.

Good book on the subject. Wide review of literature. But very expensive

Although no clear shipping tracking info was provided, which made planning to study for the course without a textbook harder, when it did arrive, the quality of the book was great!

Older edition of textbook, exactly the same as the new one. Relatable writing!

Wir haben das Buch im Rahmen eines Studienseminars durchgenommen, dafür hatte ich es mir bestellt. Es ist abwechslungsreich, unterhaltsam und dennoch wissenschaftlich geschrieben und auch für Nichtwissenschaftler sicher auch gut verständlich, da die wenigen Fachbegriffe ausführlich beschrieben werden. Kurzweilige und interessante Lecktüre zu einem spannenden Thema!
