I was looking for a magnet that would hold my flashlight by inside the garage door so it was easy to grab when taking the pup out at night and came across these. They are so strong and feel nice and heavy. They are so good they even collected acres through the box. If you need a good quality magnet that screws into the wall, these are calling your name.

Very strong? Used it to secure a smaller toolbox to the side rail of my truck. Keeps it from sliding around but a strong sideways tug pops it off the metal. Worked great for my needs

But it appears that the shielding part is made of stainless steel which does not conduct a magnetic field very well. The only reason this matters is in the way I use these. I've tied them to winter golf tees, rubber tees with various heights. If the shiny side is up there is very little magnetic pull, needs to be flipped over to pick the tees up. I'm well into my 70's and need every convenience I can find! Other than that these are well made. I think I'll heat one up and see if I can break the glue bond holding the two pieces together.

These magnets are very strong and very well made.They worked great for mounting a power strip on the side of my rolling too cabinet

Believe it or not, these things are great for cooks. There is a cooking item called a "Melting Dome" or "Basting Dome" which is just a dome with a handle on top that you put over your food items on a grill, griddle, or pan to help heat food from the top. It is like one more thing to "have" in your cooking repertoire that takes up space the whole time you are not using it. Pair these inexpensive magnets with a stainless steel screw, a wooden knob (cost me about a quarter at a craft store), and a washer. See the pic. The finished item is in the back, the unassembled parts, and a quarter in the front for size reference. Keep a few in with your cooking stuff. When you need a Dome cover, just click it onto a stainless steel mixing bowl of the appropriate size and proceed. Need a really big cover on a griddle? Use a disposable aluminum hotel pan and put the washer on the opposite side of the aluminum pan to hold it. These are also handy for helping with camp cookouts too. Done cooking? Pull off the magnet (and washer) clean the bowl and put it back in with your mixing bowls, no new item to store in your already full cabinets. Make a few extra because your barbecue buddies will want one.

These things work fabulous for my side by side LED light bar, and doesn't move, even hard to force off if you want to remove, would use these for alot of things. I used one to mount a bird house to a metal plate and even a strong wind didn't move this bad boy.
