Nature's Miracle Skunk Odor Remover Odor Neutralizing Formula, 32 fl. oz., Lavender Scent (P-98220)

Desperation squelched my skepticism. Anyone who's dealt with skunk spray will understand. One of my dogs needed out in the middle of the night, she barked at a movement in the dark, my other two more intrepid dogs sped out of the house and before I knew it I saw three tail silhouettes where there should've been two. I know I woke the neighbors cursing and trying to get them to leave the dang skunk without leaving the safety of the doorway. Longer story short, the only way I could keep them away from the skunk was to block off the kitchen and bring them into the house. I bathed them each twice using a peroxide mix. It helped a lot but did nothing for the lingering smell in literally my entire house. I ordered four huge bottles of Nature's Miracle Lavender hoping the reviews weren't exaggerating. The next day I had an appointment and the nurse could still smell the skunk on me despite multiple showers in a completely different part of the house. So I decided I couldn't wait for the delivery and picked up some Nature's Miracle from a pet shop on the way home. I did a quick wipe down of every hard surface in my kitchen using undiluted Nature's Miracle. The Lavender scent was really strong, but obviously anything was better than SKUNK. When I was done I hung the wet handtowel I'd used on a baby gate and aimed a fan at it, hoping to push the stinky air through the wet towel. Just that quick, half-a**ed wipedown (I was sore from washing the dogs lol) along with changing my a/c filters, running the central air fan, and airing out the house did the job! I know how well it worked because when I opened a closet door the nexy day I was smacked in the face with skunk smell again, and I also caught a whiff when I bent down to pick up something off the kitchn floor and caught a whiff apparently from a spot I'd missed. So now I have the four full bottles I ordered from Amazon, a completely full bottle from the pet store, and a more than half-full second bottle I'd bought from the pet store. This stuff works and it doesn't take a ton of it for hard surfaces. Oh I also used it in my laundry for a few loads just to give the laundry detergent enzymes some extra oomph. Bonus: none of my cabinets, my clothes, my tile floors, the laminate countertops, or the stainless steel fridge were harmed or discolored by the Nature's Miracle. I really can't recommend this enough. If you have dogs and see wildlife in your yard once in a while, you NEED to keep a bottle on hand.

Wide awake at 2 am, I got out of bed and walked to the kitchen for some water. Within seconds, my puppies - Sandy and Daisy - were at my feet, wagging their tails and howling to go outside. Knowing that Sandy especially loves long walks through the neighborhood at 2am, I said to her “Nuh uh uhhhh, not without your collar,” even though I had to walk all the way back to my bedroom to fetch it from the nightstand.Unbeknownst to me, the neighborhood skunk - we’ll call him Ed - was just outside my door, filling his belly with leftover cat food. Sandy’s howls to go outside must have alerted Ed, and my trek to the back must have given him just enough time to waddle off my patio toward what I can only imagine must be his safe place under the back porch. Thinking he had made it, I’m sure Ed breathed a sigh of relief just before Sandy bolted out the door. Was it her keen sense of smell or her incredible hearing that led her to that back porch? I’ll never know. What I do know is that seconds later, Sandy returned to my side, gagging and wreaking of what I can only describe and the most horrific scent that has ever entered my nostrils.It’s mornings like these that I’m forever grateful to Amazon and their unmatched ability to deliver remedies like Nature’s Miracle Skunk Oil Remover same-day. Even better - it actually WORKED. Within a minute of soaking, she was smelling like sunshine and rainbows without even a trace of skunk odor. Keeping a spare two bottles under my sink in case I or a friend need a miracle.

I found it awesome that you could use this for laundry after a skunk incident with my German Shepherd. I used Nature’s Miracle lavender scent for our dog’s bedding and towels and that worked brilliantly after just one wash. The trick is to squirt a good amount of Nature’s Miracle on the washable items before washing them by letting them sit for at least 1 hour. Then, put them into the washing machine with regular detergent and two capfills of this liquid and use warm water on normal cycle. One time did it all. But, I think a large part of the reason was because I pretreated the fabrics with sprays and let it sit before putting in the laundry machine.Used this on my dog as well for his first bath post skunk incident. He had a total of three baths before smell went away. I used another product for the second and third bath which I found better than this one both in effectiveness and also because the other bottle had a spray nozzle vs this one has a weird squirt nozzle which made it more difficult to use. I did notice a difference in my dog’s smell after using this product for his first bath. It just wasn’t as effective as the other product in my opinion, but the other product was also double the cost of this one. Overall would recommend this product, would buy again. I love that this comes in lavender scent.
