Quick and easy replacement
Everything works as it should. Quick delivery — thanks a lot! Bear in mind, it does not come with a small gasket, so you will have to reuse the one from the old part.

Delonghi Dedica EC685
Got my second hand machine cheap, i upgraded the panillo, pump and this OPV.Only thing it really needed was this valve, dont want to knock these cult machines but judging by the valve youd need to change it every few years.Few mods and presto ... Epic espresso for breakfast.

Excellent
My DeLonghi Dedica has been choking and I've had to use coarse grinds so the coffee comes out but it's been tasting horrible. A bit of research on YouTube and apparently it's very common for this piece to break. It was either this or the pump but my pump was pumping so it's more likely this. I followed YouTube videos to take it apart which was easy. Just make sure you have both a Phillips as well as the correct torx bit to unscrew the base. There's also a small black rubber ring inside the original valve that you have to transfer to the new one. It took about 2 hours but my £180 machine was as good as new.

Missing part
I couldn't get a water tight seal until I noticed that the o-ring on the outlet was missing. I had to re-use the o-ring from my old valve which is not ideal. Apart from this it is working fine.

Grinding, low-pressure Dedica? Buy & replace this part.
If your Dedica has started making an awful grinding noise and little to no water is coming out then you should look at replacing this part. It's not terribly difficult & there are disassembly guides on YouTube to follow. There is a small o-ring that you will need to remove from the old valve as this one does not come with it but apart from that it's a straight swap. Has definitely given my machine a new lease of life, very happy.
