BlastCase Universal AC to DC Car Cigarette Lighter Socket Adapter (US Plug)

I bought this because I temporarily have an air mattress and the only pump I have is a car-charger plug in. So I got this so I can fill the airbed in my room without taking it to the car just to fill it up. for only $4 no shipping, it worked. My only complaint was that my air pump seemed to be less strong than when I plug it into the car, which I imagine is an expected result of using an adapter. I still was able to blow up the air mattress just fine.

I received two of these adapters and they both have the same problem - they don't work when an electrical load is applied to the output. When not loaded by charging a cell phone or GPS, or running a radar detector, the output voltage is a steady 13.0v DC, but when adding the small current load of any one of those device types, the output drops to 10.3 - 11.5v DC and cannot be used by the device for reliable operation or charging.These units are VERY inexpensive, but since they probably won't do the job for you, they are not even worth that cost.

Awesome. I take this with me whenever i go on trips and i keep one in the camper so i don't have to carry a different charger other than the one i already have in the vehicle. Seems to be holding up well. Haven't had any issues with this product so far.

Had no trouble with it, although i soon realized i had no need for it :)It worked just fine when i did try it out, and it saves you BIG$, for it cuts the cost of 2 chargers

This is a great novel idea and it actually does work, but it's WAY underpowered. Most uses for something like this would be to power things that are generally made for CARS (like portable car vacuums and air compressors). Sure it can handle rinky dink cell phone chargers but this should be powerful enough for other things. I can hear the slightest whir from my compressor when connected, do it does work it just has NO power. But at $3 ish shipped I knew I was taking a chance. Doesn't seem that cheap, btw. People just need to be careful when handling this small plastic item- its plastic and just $3.

Plug it into the wall and plug in your cigarette lighter items from your car and it works. Plastic body is a little cheap. I don't know a lot about electric current, but I feel like your things don't get quite as much juice as they would in your car. For example, I used this to power lights that you would normally put around speakers in your car to light up a display case. Lights didn't seem quite as bright as they should have been. Not a big deal for what I was using it for.

I didn't know these existed and when I stumbled across them I bought two because I have an air inflator that I run from my car which I can now use more than 6ft from my car I also have a couple of other car bound gadgets now liberated.

This item does not work when I plug in my portable cooler. The cooler works when I plug in in my car, not work when I used in my room in the hotel with this eqipment. This means nothing wrong with my cooler. It means the universal AC to DC is not working. It is a totally unsatisfactory product, garbage. Unfortunately I have bought two of them. Waste my money and time to buy 2 gaebage which does not work. I give 1 star only because it looks like a toy which won't burn the kid because it does not work.Larry [email protected]
