Great read
Great book so far. Super easy to read and I generally do not like reading so I'm picky. Only dislike is one of the authors is a bit bias but overall a great book.

Authors get in the way of an interesting subject
Honestly I'd rate it better if they just took out all of the bad faith references to God.You kneecap apologetic portion by avoiding transcendentals and choosing straw men refuted arguments. Then you also have to make every reference to God a she. That's not the god of Abraham so quite frankly I'm not sure if you dislike Muslims and Jews or something, but I am not aware of some sort of Goddess thought to be responsible for all creation. Maybe the co-authors have a 2021 Julius Welhausen type deal where instead of punching moses they want to give him a sex change operation. I'd suppose Gaia is this She but P.23 says no serious philosopher believes in Greek mythology. They will also venture into the scientistic side of things they start off in the first chapter speculating that we are not far off from having a person having each lobe of their brain being transplanted into a new body. I will believe that when I see it. I can go to the lancet and see them writing articles admitting half of their studies are false, but then I'm supposed to act like this speculative conjecture poses any difficulty in any held position on the self. I'm working through this book and I am being shown all these positions that are like "if you grant me these 8 points, then I can prove to you space and time are basically the same thing, therefore reverse causation." I'm taking what I can but I, literally, thank God I am not in the education system.(I know they most likely hate Christians not Muslims or Jews. And I mean hate. The way only a neo-sophist can.)

Metaphysics that is presented in such a way that it is approachable and rewarding
Wonderful intro to metaphysics. Some sections will have to be read quite closely but that is to be expected. Short book that is quite thrilling

Mostly well written, occasionally, I believe due to simplification, the argument does not seem to flow from one assertion to the next. Overall an accessible introduction to philosophy.
