Moisture and light meters work well but the PH Meter is not great. All probe meters are very prone to error and it gives very inconsistent readings.

This instrument appears to work OK as a moisture meter, but I bought it to test soil PH. I am not sure having used it whether it works or not. The scale is 1 to 8 with only 8 being acid, and everywhere I have tried it in the garden gives a reading between 7 and 7.5. This could, of course, be perfectly true but I have also tried it in two different types of potting compost and the readings are as for the garden soil. I would have thought that the compost with 50% peat content might have given an acidic reading of 8.

Terrible. Didn’t work when it showed up. Tried multiple areas in my garden and my neighbours garden. Luckily amazon is great with returns.

Does the job for a good price and its accrurate

I have used this tester to mainly test the acidity of the soil in my front and back garden. It works well and simple to read and use.
