Love the clamp to the table ease and gives off great light. I use it for anytime I'm doing something that requires more light

Good lamp!
The color blue is nice and the clamp has a good grip. The price is fair and my daughter likes it.

Perfect for my application.
I wanted a lamp to clip to my treadmill so I can read while walking. This is perfect, small but bright, and with a good sturdy clamp that withstands the vibration of the treadmill.

Must have for your desk.
You can place and aim it where you need the light the most. Nice and bright and seems well made.

Love this lamp!
Needed something to add more direct light at my desk when working on crafts. This was perfect. Adjustable brightness and warmth of light. The goose neck makes it easy to adjust as needed. Arrived fast and well packed.

Great lamp, not crap!
I had a similar lamp given to me from someone who didn’t want it. It flickered and stuff. And the big flaw was that it got ridiculously hot at the plug and lamp. That shouldn’t be acceptable. So after some research settled on this and crossed my fingers because we all know how Amazon reviews go. And—- it is fine. It runs cool and is not crap. So go ahead and buy it.

Permanently mounting the lamp
Although this lamp comes with a clamp, I permanently mounted it on an electrical box to light a paint booth I use for decorating model railroad locomotives and rolling stock. First I disassembled the clamp as follows: Using a thin, flat screwdriver, I popped off one end of the center pivot roller, then pushed out the entire roller to separate the two halves of the clamp; the metal spring also pops out. One of the halves has a small restraining clamp to hold the cord; I removed the two sheet metal screws holding the clamp in place and cut the cord to be able to remove the clamp, which I discarded (the metal spring is very strong and would be difficult to re-install in order to re-use the clamp elsewhere) . The cord has a line switch which I did not use, so I cut the cord right at the line switch, leaving about 8 to 10 inches of cord out of the gooseneck. I was unable to open the compartment in which the line switch is located (for potential use in other projects), so I discarded the line switch. The next step was to place all of the components into an electrical box as follows: The transformer to step the voltage down from 110v to 12v is contained in the over-sized power plug with a long (over 6 feet) cord to connect via a plug to the actual lamp; I cut this cord down to about 6 inches. Each prong in the power plug already has a hole drilled in it; I tapped each hole to accept a 6-32 machine screw, and attached #14 electrical wire to each prong. Using double-sided foam tape, I attached the power plug to the back side of a metal single-gang handy box with the prongs pointed up. I drilled a ½ inch hole in a blank metal cover and attached the gooseneck (and lamp) to the cover. I also ran 110v wire into the handy box via a knock-out hole on the side of the box using EMT. I assembled the lamp as follows: I used wire nuts to connect the 110v input into the handy box (via EMT tubing) to the each wire (negative and positive) attached to the prongs on the power plug. I used small wire nuts to connect the 12v cord from the power plug to the cord coming out of the gooseneck. I then attached the cover (with the lamp attached) to the handy box. The power plug is about 1-1/2 inches wide and about 2-1/2 inches top to bottom including the prongs. I found that the handy box was only 1-7/8 high; therefore I attached a handy box extension on top of the first handy box and placed the power plug in the bottom box and ran the EMT into the top box. I actually attached three of the Newhouse flexible lamps in this manner; now when I flip a switch, all three lamps light up my spray painting booth

Brighter than expected, very versatile lamp
With these new LED lights it is hard to know how bright '3 Watts' or '300 lumens' is, and I thought that this lamp would only be bright enough to make for a decent reading light, so I was surprised, and really impressed, when I turned on the light and saw that it was as bright as the bigger light that I have been using (The bigger light has an older style incandescent bulb rated at 60 Watts). The really nice thing with this light though, when compared to most desk lamps or standing lamps, is that is can be easily adjusted and the light can be aimed where you need/want the light to be.Being a clamp light you do need something to attach it to and I think the use of suction cups inside the clamps is a great idea because you get a strong clamp that also sticks to smooth surfaces. I found that older style clamp lamps would slide around when mounted vertically whereas this LED Flex Clamp Lamp stays in place no matter where I tried it. This also means that I won't be scratching the smooth surface like some of my old clamp lamps did. They say that the bulb is good for 30,000 hours! (I can't say how true that claim is, but I don't plan on leaving my light on for four straight years to find out) and, from my experience, most of the non-LED bulbs that I have used around the home need to be replaced a lot more frequently than that.Another benefit to me is that there is sure to be some savings on the hydro bill if I am using 3 watts bulb vs. the 60 watts of power that the other lamp was using (I don't know if a 3 Watt bulb only uses 1/20 the power of a 60 watt bulb, but overall the power usage should be less and any money savings makes this light even more inexpensive than it already is).If it matters, fully extended lamp is approximately 20 inches long, and the cord comes in 2 sections for a total length of about 7 feet.Overall, while this lamp isn't designed to light up a big room, it works amazingly well in a small room, as a desk/reading lamp or maybe as a versatile light when doing home or car repairs.**Update: Like it so much I just bought another one.

Perfect on my bed headboard for reading before going to bed.
I like to read before going to bed. I attached the light on the headboard and use it for reading. Brightness of light is very helpful, I'm not squinting as I had to depending on the light from the lamp on my night stand which was not efficient. Clamp was the right size to fit over the headboard, which I was a little worried about before ordering that it would not fit.

Great wide extend clamp for headboard
Great night reading lamp with wide mouth clamp for bed frame. My headboard is about 1.5” wide and this fits well. Not sure it could extend beyond that depth, currently it’s stretched to max.I use this for night reading so I don’t disturb my partner. Flexible neck is great and light is perfect. The off/on toggle works with my frame but might be difficult to access with solid headboard. Highly recommend.

Good buy
The lamp is exactly as others have stated. The clamp is a bit tricky to operate. The suction cups inside it adhere to each other, so you can't get the clamp open except with great force. After we managed to get it open, we put a piece of cardboard between the suction cups ( fortunately we had some right there with the box), then placed the lamp removing the cardboard after getting positioned. However the gooseneck is sturdy and stays in position so the light doesn't fall down. For the price, this is a good buy.

Totalmente recomendable
