Ever After High Dexter Charming Doll

This doll is so much better than I thought he would be. I thought he looked a little strange in all the promo picks online but in person he is a handsome prince indeed. His medium brown hair is slicked back from his face and there is no weird bang poof in the front like the pictures show. It is stiff and sprayed into place. His eyes are an amazing shade of turquoise blue and are very piercing. He has thick brown eyebrows. His lips are a perfect shade of pinkish nude. His metallic gold crown circles his head completely. It is made of plastic and several designs molded into it. His jacket is a cobalt blue with a very faint black plaid print. It is shorter in the front, and longer in the back, kind of like a less formal version of true tails. The lapels are lined in metallic gold. On his left lapel is a small metallic gold medal made of plastic. Under his jacket is a shirt with a black and greyish kind of splatter pattern with a few gold "C" inside a heart charming family crest designs. He is wearing a light blue and white striped infinity scarf around his neck. His slacks are grey. Peeking out from under his jacket and running along his right thigh is a is a gold plastic watch/wallet chain. It has a little watch molded into it and a heart charm with a "c" for charming of course. He wears very dark navy blue converse style sneakers with white soles and insteps. He comes with a his signature black glasses. He is not wearing them in the box, he is holding them in his hand. He also comes with a black plastic one shoulder duffle style backpack. He has a stand that is a gold base with a clear rod. He does NOT come with a gold brush(the stock photos show one) so I am assuming that since his hair is sprayed hard they decided not to include it. He also includes his story book. It tells about his crush on Raven, always being in Daring's shadow, and of another charming...a sister named Darling. It also tells of how Dexter is coming into his own as a prince charming. Overall I am sooooo glad that I got Dexter. He is so much better than I could have expected. Being a boy he is hard to find right now so if you get the chance...snap him up.

This is a great doll to add to your Ever After High collection. One of the most difficult to find so far, but totally worth the price of ~$21. The package was delivered faster than expected so that was a plus. The doll itself is very beautiful with tiny details such as the tiny gold chain on his pants with his family crest, the crown, the glasses, and the scarf. I love putting him between my Raven Queen and my CA Cupid dolls.

Dexter just might be my very favorite character in the EAH storyline. Needless to say, when I saw him available for $21, I jumped on him. I've never regretted it! He is a very handsome doll, with beautiful blue eyes and a build similar to that of Hunter's (though his skin tone is lighter), meaning he appears a bit thicker and more muscular than the Monster High guys, though not quite as much as Ken. His hair is fully slicked down with gel (which I was relieved to see - I didn't like his hair with the bangs in the long circular shape that several promotional pictures had, though the ones on this site look fine to me). I really like the brown color of his hair, too. His outfit on top is three pieces, with the overcoat not being attached to the shirt (which is actually a tank top). His scarf can be removed too. His pants appear to be jeans (though they don't feel like real denim, but I still like them). Like Hunter, he also has a cool little charm that hangs from where his belt would be (a charm also hangs from his overcoat). He wears a pair of black and white high-top sneakers that're also very well-detailed. Unlike the promotional photo, he does not come with a brush, but I wouldn't use one on him anyway. He does come with the bookmark with a story pictured like all of the other dolls in the signature releases, though. He does come with a doll stand and the backpack pictured too. The backpack doesn't open, but he really can wear it on his back! :) I'm so excited to finally see Dexter as a doll, and I love having him in my collection! If you see him, I say get him! I love that Mattel is finally producing more of the boy dolls, and Dexter is - without any doubt - a charming addition!

Again another spectacular character from EAH! Their releases never fail to impress me. Box is very good for display and it is easy to open. The doll itself is very good. Even though it is made in China, the quality of the piece I got was really good. He might not have too much details like the girls but still he will be a great addition to your collection. No small piece will fly off. But be careful with the specs since its tiny you might break the frame if not handled properly. For your daughters he will be a good partner for her other Ever After High dolls for more interesting play and make believe!

Prince Dexter Charming is an EAH Royal that seems to have a thing for the Rebel girls. He has had a huge crush on Raven Queen forever after, but lately Cupid seems to be gaining some of the attention she has been dreaming of. Dexter Charming lives up to his name. Here we have the handsome prince that spends most of his time hiding behind his glasses (they help to block his “enchanting eyes”.) His eyes are vivid blue and he has brunette hair and thick eyebrows. Dexter comes with the aforementioned glasses that have thick black frames (with no lenses). He is wearing a gold crown (the crown is attached to his head with small removable tags). Dexter also wears a blue checked blazer with gold trim and hems, a blue and white striped scarf, gray jeans, an emblem print t-shirt and gray high topped sneakers. He is wearing a gold medal on his lapel and has a gold wallet chain hidden beneath his blazer. Dexter carries a black backpack/bookbag that has molding that features badges and buckles. Dexter comes with a doll stand and bookmark that has details of his royal story. Like all EAH dolls Dexter has multiple points of articulation for posing any play. It is so nice to have another EAH boy character doll available – and Dexter is perfect. (A note to parents – Dexter has quite a few extra plastic tabs that you might want to remove before playtime – check his crown and his scarf).

Dexter Charming! Second male character in the EAH doll line. It looks like the male characters go quickly, at least in the Monster High series, so I'd scoop him up quickly before he triples in price. As always, the doll, clothes, and accessories are great quality, though they could have improved the crown by widening it a little (Dex's head is ginormous, apparently). Dexter has an interesting sense of style that is kind of modern, but also oldschool (as in medieval oldschool) and very very preppy, at least in comparison to Hunter. I LOVE his blue blazer, little belt accessory, stylishly nerdy glasses, and stripey infinity scarf. However, if you're planning on displaying him, you might want to leave the plastic things securing his crown in since it is IMPOSSIBLE to keep that thing on otherwise. Also not a total fan of the hair. I wish they had been able to slick it more into a semblance of his actual 'do since his current one makes him look really prettyboy when I get the impression that he is supposed to have more of a bookish quality about him. Where were these awesome fantasy-inspired dolls back when I was a kid???

This doll is a very sturdy boy doll he has articulation in the wrists, hip, knee, and elbow. Inccomparison to the hunter huntsman two pack Dexter is much taller and he has a different head and hair mold. His black backpack cannot be opened but the manufacturer made is perfect to set on his shoulder. His shirt and coat are connected. His shoes resemble converse low top shoes. The box is awesome for display purposes. There are a few small parts like his glasses, his chain, and crown that might get lost. I would recommend these dolls for collection purposes or for older children.

The Doll arrived without some of its accessories! It seems strange that they were missing. Perhaps the package had been opened before?? You do NOT get what the picture shows. He is missing his scarf and his bag.

I received my order quickly and everything was as expected - excellent service. My daughters will love it!

He is charming as his name suggests! Cant wait for the the launch of his brother doll Daring Charming..
