Very small holes
This is a smallish net even when full with very small holes. My cob is yet to be convinced that he needs to work that hard to get the hay out. Maybe better for ponies? Very expensive if he doesn't get it.

Excellent haynet
Although these haynets seem expensive they are very strong nets. The holes are small, 2.5cm, so that your pony can only take out small pieces of hay at a time and so the hay will last much longer than given in a normal net. I have to watch my pony`s weight and over winter she comes off the field and into her stable at 4.30pm when she is given her net for the night. With a normal net of this size (holding 4kg) she finishes the hay off by 9.30pm and so is left with nothing to eat for the rest of the night. With the trickle net the hay will last her much longer, which is much better for her digestive system. The company who makes these have so much faith in them that if you go to their website you will see that they offer to fix the net if it breaks within six months of purchase. As I have only just purchased this net I have yet to see how long it lasts before needing replacing, but reading reviews on here and elsewhere I am confident this is one of the best nets on the market.

Successfully slows down greedy eaters!
Bought as punishment for my cob who destroyed his old haynet! Seems to be coping well so far. Takes a thick full slice (the mini size) and keeps him busy for ages. Net is stiff when first arrives but quickly stretches & gets much easier to use. Expensive but lasting well so far so could well prove excellent value for money! Definitely considering buying the larger version for his overnight feed.

Really tough; highly recommend for greedy horses.
Brilliant - they slow my greedy mare down (although she still does quite a good job with it). One of the geldings refuses to eat from it, though, which ruined my plan to just have the same haynets for all of them! They are very tough and resilient which is great. This one holds a reasonable amount of hay, although probably only good for a small pony if it's the only source of food overnight. I swapped the rope out for a thinner one, though, which made them SO much easier to fill - the rope they came with just kept quite twisted and made opening the haynet difficult.I steam my hay and have had no issues at all using Tricklenets in the steamer.

Don't be put off by first impressions!
When my trickle net arrived, I wasn't sure I was going to be able to make much use of it: it was smaller than I thought it would be, and a rather peculiar shape. It was also stiff and not easy to fill, and I had doubts as to whether my mare would cope with it. In the event, she managed very well, and after a few days the net had stretched, softened, and become an absolute essential in my stable. I've recently bought a second and thrown all my old haylage nets away; I'd recommend trickle nets to anyone like me who has a greedy native pony with a susceptibility to laminitis. Used in conjunction with a summer grass muzzle, they've been a godsend . (My farrier also thinks they're pretty wonderful!)

This did not last and had to be repaired
The media could not be loaded. These nets are good for restricting horses diet. However, they are sold as being very hard wearing, THEY ARE NOT!!! I have bought six so far and within months my pony has eaten big holes in them all. Bearing in mind the high price of them, I am disappointed in their longevity and in the company’s false claims

Not worth the money
Very expensive and not really any better than other slow feeder nets. Only had mine for 5 months and my horse has ripped a bigger hole in it already. Difficult to fill also

Strong so far
Very strong net, hopefully will stand the test of time but all good so far.
