Arabeska Cross Stitch Scroll Frame Set with Plastic Clamps from Beech Hardwood Different Sizes (S/L/SE) (Large)

I've tried - and subsequently hated - at least 3 brands/types of scroll frames, so I didn't have a lot of hope when I followed a recommendation from an online stitching group and gave these a try. The first thing I noticed was how well these things were finished. I come from a family of woodworkers, so I'm more particular than most when it comes to wooden items. These components are smooth and beautifully finished. The second thing I noticed was the ease of attaching fabric to the rods. None of the profanity-inducing methods (no basting to cotton tape stapled to rods, no split rods, no hook-and-loop tape) are required. You just lay the edges of your fabric over the channels in the rods, snap on the clamps and you're good to go. I currently have a large project on longest rods, and the frame holds it drum tight. No slippage at all. My Lowery floor stand handles this frame with ease. I'm super happy with this purchase, and I hope this company continues to thrive. The label on the box notes that the founder of this (Ukrainian) brand died defending Ukraine--a fact that hit me right in the heart.

Having purchased another substandard frame from a different seller, I was a tad gun shy, but I read the reviews, looked through the questions/answers, and hit “buy now.” I am so impressed! Easy to use, top quality (smooth, sturdy, light), holds the large needle point canvas I’ve been wrangling for months. I rarely take time to write reviews and always wait a while to make sure I’ve used the product enough to endorse or critique and so I hope people find this helpful. I purchase the large set because I wanted to accommodate my large canvas, but in doing so, I gained enough parts to set up a second project if I needed to. The wood is like a nice piece of furniture, smooth and (not that it matters) attractive. The smooth attribute was something I worried about. The largest frame is still lightweight (I’m no spring chicken) and not unwieldy—another concern I had. And the short plastic grips are well designed, easy to use and work! They keep the canvas snuggly on the rod, which I was worried about, since many folks use them for cross stitch in the reviews and I am doing needle point. I am 100% satisfied with this product. So happy when something works out!

I was hesitant to spend this much money on another scroll frame. I spent a reasonable amount of money on a split dowel frame previously and I couldn't stand it. It was hard to use and constantly lost tension. There were not a lot of reviews for this one, for an Amazon item anyway, and the cost was a bit high but the reviews that were there seemed genuine so I decided to go for it. I was blown away with the quality. It is all hardwood with a really nice finish. All of the edges are rounded with no sharp edges anywhere. The kit came with three different roller sizes, two different sides, and 2 sets of nuts so you actually get two frames that can be used at the same time, albeit different sizes. The clips that hold the fabric on are very secure and very easy to use and I find that aida cloth can be tensioned across the entire length and width so no side clips are needed in my opinion.

First of all, there are enough pieces to easily use two frames at the same time. I love the different sizes which allows me to get the right fit for several different projects. There are several snaps along the bar to really get the project snug. It took a little fiddling but I’m very happy with this purchase.

I’ve always wanted a scroll frame. This one seemed really nice for the price. It is very sturdy, easy to use, and easy to assemble. I ordered the large and that was probably a mistake on my part. It is too large to hold, way too heavy and bulky. It sits in a frame I made pretty well and that’s the only reason I didn’t return it. I would recommend for anyone that has a stand/frame to hold it up.

It's such a good thing when you order online and receive much more than you thought you were asking for. This little frame is a gem! I ordered the large and it came with the 3 sizes indicated in the writeup. At first, I was somewhat taken aback as the small, nicely photographed instruction booklet was written in Russian! However, the only real bit of important information about how to deal with the clips if they stretched was in English, so it was no problem. I loved the address on the booklet. the maker is identified by his name and the designation Entrepreneur was included. It's always good to support those who step away from corporations! Anyhow, the frame went together nicely and the edges are indeed smooth to the touch. The top and bottom scroll bars have enough roughness to grip the fabric but there are no rough edges. The little square nuts are cute and wonderful to turn...no sore fingers. It all reminds me of a cross between Lincoln Logs and Tinkertoys. I bought this frame because I couldn't get my Qsnap to sit securely in my K's Creation floor stand and was afraid I'd break the Qsnap if I tightened it too much. I needed something nicely squared on the sides and this fit the bill. I stitched with it last night and I"m going to enjoy this frame! Kudoes to the maker. One suggestion however. The Special edition includes a small 7in bar as well as 2 other bars...I'd like to be able to purchase that small bar separately instead of having to duplicate sizes I have in order to get the small one...perhaps that could be a consideration in the future, as well as spare parts since sometimes accidents happen. Looking forward to using this for many years to come.

I have a stand that needed more frames. I have several wips going at the same time. This is sturdy. I like it a lot.

A little fiddly to keep linen straight loading but it is secure and seems to be holding taut so far. Saves having to baste on and reasonably priced.

I just opened the box with this frame system in it. I have to say I have used many hand held frames over the years and I am so mpresses with the quality and the durability of this product. If I could have done 10 stars I would have. The clips are very easy to put on and off. The wood will never strip because of the metal screws and inserts. And finally, the wood is sanded with no rough edges of slivers. Immediately after I write this review, I am going to order the next size set down. Very versatile and adaptable to all you cross stitch or embroidery needs.

Beautifully made set of frames, easy to assemble, solid wood

I am using the frame for continental stitch tapestry. It is very easy to attach the canvas to the frame without using stitching or staples, but the canvas is held firmly. The frame is light but sturdy and the wooden tightening screws are easy to adjust. Wonderful!

Is working great with holding the aida cloth in place.
