Battlefield 2: Special Forces Expansion Pack - PC

This expansion pack is good, and I would say worth the money, but it does have issues. EA has not been as supportive as they could have been for the entire BF2 game, including expansions. Load times and the frequency of VOIP problems are the largest complaints that I have about this game. Overall it is very good, but it could have been done better, it's not as good as the BF1942 expansions in my opinion but it does still add some worthwhile content. If you enjoy BF2 then you will enjoy SF.

I bought this add on as soon as it came out. I was happy with the new content and maps. I was also suprised to see that some of the weapons carried back into the original BF2 like the flashbangs for instance. The only problems after installation I had were having to reinstall the 1.12 patch after my SF installation. I had performance issues the original game but cleared all those when I added a second gig of ram.

Great game but when i thought I was buying a expansion pack to Battlefield 2 I really got a separate game. Special forces does not have access to all maps in Battlefield 2 game, so it is like buying a separate game. This can not be called a expansion pack because of this. They should intergrate the two games, not keep them separate

There are some great maps and guns added with this expansion. With the v1.3 patch, the game (and specifically this expansion) is solid enough to give this game praise. When the game first came out, I couldn't have said as much.But at this point, this is a safe and fun purchase, and a must have for any Battlefield 2 fan.

What a great shooter game. But, it is more than just a FP shooter. Being able to get inside different vehicles and drive, go up in towers to be a sniper, have smarter enemies, and get 3rd party additions makes this a great game to play. I do not even play on-line and have a blast.

Package came with 2 discs, book with original code. Adds more to the base game Battlefield 2. New maps ( night maps too), weapons, vehicles, new factions and another tier of weapon unlocks to each class.

It's an "ok" game i bought this for the weapon locks on bf2.I like the online play, pretty intense.For players that have BF2...i must say this game gives you more strategicchances than playing BF2 online, for example flanking the enemy from 2nd floor to 3rd floor with a rope to climb on.
