Hair Freedom!
4 years with locs and the metal version has allowed me to maintain my hair quite well, I liked the idea of the flexibility of a polymer so I purchased the new version to try my thick hair did not like it at all 20 or so locs into my latest re ti ....my tool just snapped:-( see pic. Sooo back to the original.... some things are fine the way they are Wow!. SO I finally got loc'd up after considering it for 3 years. One of the reasons I was reticent was that I did not want to leave my hair at the mercy of another person. I have limited time to go to the salon, and I so wanted something that required less work to maintain. I got my locs installed in early July, I was committed to at least 6 mos-1 year of going to salon for re-ti's as my hair grows quickly and I like to keep it neat. I don't like to wait until the last minute to make an appointment, so I called my loctician the first week in August to schedule a future re-ti, she is very busy and never got back to me....In the mean time I had ordered this to have when I decided to take over the care of my locks. When it arrived I was so impressed with the craftsmanship and presentation, I found the FB video instructions and tried it out , it was so incredibly easy.... 5 episodes of House of Cards later...I have retightened my whole head. I love, love, love this and that it allows me to take care of my hair myself. The tool is metal and smooth so there is nothing to catch your hair on and snag. The tool is curved so with some care you don't connect locs by accident. When I am done I wipe it with an alcohol wipe and store it in the case it comes in . If she can fit me in by next time great if not ...Me, Netflix and my Easy Loc will get it done:- Update: After paying 49.00 for my Easyloc a couple of months ago I kept it on my wish list as I planned to purchase another one later so that I had a backup. I noticed the price was lowered to $35.00:-(. I went directly to the site and found that a single was 30.00 and buy two get one free........$59.95!! WHAT!!! so now I can have 3 more for $10.00 plus my price originally. Since I paid more than $500 to get my hair locked, I have a vested interest in keeping it nice, so I swallowed hard and bought the buy two get one free deal, so now for less than the cost of one retightening session I have four tools and can do it myself, on my schedule, not bad at all. I also have a couple of the nappylocs tools that I carry in my train case that I carry when I travel( I figured I wouldn't be as mad if I lost a $17.00 hair thingy as opposed to a $50.00 one) I like them also. I think that the Easyloc is still better because it is larger(less hand cramping) adjustable, and the curve helps a great deal.

Fantastic product...I love it!!!!!
What can I say about this tool!!! OMG!!! The easy loc hair tool saved my life and my bank account! So I honestly believe I can diy anything, well most things, so I started my own interlocks in July. Initially I was using a latch hook which did the job but I had some issues with it. After searching YouTube I saw a couple of people using a safety pin and tried that. No bueno. I ended up with so much frizz, gaps, inconsistencies and taking way more hours of my busy life than I care to part with! With one last try before paying someone to do it for me I went looking for a tool on amazon. Found one that was black owned priced right. Due to an Amazon issue I didn't get the tool when I was supposed to ( it came 1 day later), I called Easy love to find out what happened. Doreen answered my call at 7pm that evening with professionalism and gave me fantastic customer service. She explained the recent improvements and material upgrades that her company had made and that I would love my tool. Well she was right!!! Love is an understatement!! The easy loc tool is just that...easy! The grip is amazing even if my hands were wet. The quality is top notch and I powered through retightening my roots and the finished product was beautiful. Minimal frizz, as my curl pattern is loose, no gaps, and my pattern was consistent. I finally got that professional finish without the professional price. I highly recommend this tool and will be doing a video with my next retightening. I was not paid for this review neither did I get it for free. Please buy this tool you won't regret it!!!!!

This an awesome tool!
I received my tools very quickly. I've been using micro size Nappy Locs tools for around 10 years. I really like that tool and the small size, but unfortunately the size makes it easy to lose. That is the very reason I looked at the EasyLoc Tool. I recently lost my final Nappy Locs tool...my 4th or 5th one over the almost 10 years. Either my husband or I can usually find it, but not this time. I was going to order two or three Nappy Locs tools, but the price gave me pause. I do understand that sometimes price increases are necessary. I decided to try this tool which I came across awhile ago and saved for later. I ordered three because I'm used to ordering to have a replacement tool just in case. My two children also have locs which I maintain with a tool with mine being the thinnest. I don't think I'll need the other two any time soon because the EasyLoc Tool is much larger than the Nappy Locs tool. In fact it is so large that I thought I had made a mistake thinking it would work for my thin locs. I was wrong. I have used it, and I love it. The larger size makes it easier to hold onto, and it glides through my roots. I doubt I'll drop this one behind my back and into the sofa as I'm doing my locs as often as I did the Nappy Locs tool. I like the tools equally for doing someone else's hair. The Nappy Locs tool served me well over the years, but I do think this EasyLoc tool is better for self-retightning for me. I don't think I'll enlarge one for use with my son's locs unless I lose the Nappy Locs medium or large tools I use for him since I really do like those tools as well. I look forward to using an EasyLoc tool for years to come. I purchased three tools and with a promotion the cost was $38.38 with free shipping. The cost for three Nappy Locs tools also with a discount for purchasing more than one and including free shipping was $59.73. The packaging and included info with the EasyLoc Tool is wonderful as well. I tried other things including yarn needles trying to be frugal after I lost my micro Nappy Locs tool, but that was not the route for me. The picture shows this tool next to a small (next size up from micro) Nappy Locs tool.

When I first use this tool I hated it. It took some getting use to
When I first use this tool I hated it. It took some getting use to, The tool is ok I have gotten the same results with cheaper tools like a craft needle. I really don't feel it's worth $50. O.k after completing half my head I love the tool. It glides right through your locs, it also enables you to get close to the scalp without pain, It leaves clean parts. I'm happy with this purchase....Would have give 5 stars but, pricey.. Update 5/17/2016: I have had my tool a few months now and it as already begun to change colors. By the way I lost my tool the other day and I will be surly ordering another one. However, I may order directly from the site this time you can get 3 for $98.00...I recommend if you have not already buy this tool so you can have even more freedom. The freedom to retighten your own locs...You can do your locs when you want and save a ton of money. I have been doing my locs for 10 months and I have saved $750.00... Update: 2/2017 I have brought 2 of these. I'm about to buy a 3rd one, only because I lost the other 2. And I was also having a issue with my locs being snagged from time to time. While using this tool. This is a great tool which I love. However, I think the eye could be a bit smaller for smaller locs. The eye is kind of thick which is great for thicker locs. So she needs to consider a smoother design and a smaller size. Also after 2-3 uses the tool began to discolor greatly.

A Must-Have for Loc Maintenance — Gentle, Precise, and So Easy to Use!
The EasyLoc tool is a total game changer for maintaining my sisterlocks! It’s designed just right — smooth, lightweight, and easy to grip, with no pulling, snagging, or discomfort. I love that it doesn’t damage or weaken my locs like some other tools I’ve tried. It works perfectly for micro to medium-sized locs and gives me the control I need without frustration. The designer shape makes it easy to guide through the hair, and I really appreciate the care that went into making something this effective and gentle. Whether you're maintaining your own locs or helping someone else, this tool is a must-have in your kit!

This tool…
Breaks easily. Although I love how flexible it is I’m always more concerned about if it s going to break. It takes a while for it to be delivered. When I first started using it, the quality was better. Since I’ve been searching for better options.

Bait and switch is NOT cool, ever
(Revised review due to the seller having prior deleted) While I realize the seller commented this plastic version is 'better' than the version many customers actually paid for and waited on, it's still a bait and switch to the listing we saw when we paid all that money for metal, not plastic. Those of us that held our orders a few months ago paid for *stainless steel*. It's our choice as customers to pass on plastic if we choose but the problem is we were not given that choice as buyers. That choice was made for us after we fully anticipated something else. As far as the product quality, this product is a RIP OFF in my opinion. It is nothing like what was paid for and expected. It's flimsy, cheap and poor quality. Compared with the metal versions I've had to buy from another seller sending customers what they actually asked for, here are some things that prove this cheap plastic CANNOT replace metal or pass as a 'superior' product: a) cannot resize opening with plyers for smaller locks b) super flimsy, difficult to impossible to loop through tight spaces when making repairs on hair. This can be done with metal versions. c) Constantly bending when needing it to stay straight; not as reliable d) not as hygienic as metal or versatile to clean e) Being made out of cheaper plastic, this means that it cost less to make than metal, yet the product price has been increased. This seems a bit gimmicky to me. That means this cheaply made product now has a higher profit margin to the seller, yet with a more expensive price that is picked up by the customer. Feels like a double rip off effect considering this product isn't that good while the prior metal product that this plastic listing has replaced had a nearly 5-star rating. Again, having suffered extreme buyers remorse and betrayal in this is not the product that was asked for, paid for, and anticipated, I use now have to use the LFaize version of this tool by another seller here on Amazon. If you don't want to pay all this for plastic, that seller advertises and sends metal only. As far as customer service, we should have been apologized to and given a 100% refund, but instead, I saw that customers received a copy and paste reply explaining why the seller's choice over the customers was 'better'. Switching to a 'new model' when a customer paid for the former model of a different material is bad business practice and should never be done. The buyer must be allowed to make informed decisions if they want to pay this amount for another material, especially PLASTIC. This product or practice is not worthy of the customer, in my honest opinion. When sellers ensure customers get what they pay for, they can keep their ratings AND their reputation! This didn't happen here. Not recommended.

Magnifique...

Great buy!
I use this on my boyfriend's dreads and we both absolutely love it, I got it on sale for a great deal. Works faster and more efficient, also comes in a handy jewelry box so you have a place to keep it. If I can use it anyone can, we save hundreds interlocking at home.

A must-have for your loc toolkit!
The packaging was rather classy - a velvet blue box and a small drawstring bag were included for storage alongside instructions on how to interlock. The tool itself is so easy to use - its curved shape has meant it is very easy to manoeuvre whilst interlocking my hair & the chance of joining locks accidentally is very much reduced. It's also so smooth which has meant no snagging of my hair has occurred - the tool glides right through each and every one of my locks with ease and is able to bring the locs very close to the scalp. I had been concerned the tool would be a smidgen too large for my micro braidlocs but it really is perfect. I had previously tried to interlock with a bobby pin and a paperclip but after using the EasyLoc Hair Tool I won't be going back. I highly recommend the EasyLoc Hair Tool - the creator is both a blessing and a genius. The EasyLoc Hair Tool feels incredibly sturdy - I'm not worried about accidentally bending it (and I say that as an uncoordinated person!).

Indispensable!
Love this tool for re-tightening my Sisterlocks. It's easy to use. It's very expensive though and easy to lose so best to keep it in a safe place.
