4D Vision Great White Shark Anatomy Model

I originally purchased the 4D Vision Great White Shark Anatomy Model for myself because of my interest in sharks, but it has quickly become a favorite in our household. This model is incredibly detailed and provides a fascinating look at the anatomy of a great white shark. We got this for our 7yr son who was doing a presentation on Sharks for his 2nd grade class. It was a huge hit and all of the kids in his class wanted to know where he got it from. t is not really a toy to play with but my son really likes it as a model. He was able to follow the directions and put it together for the most part. He had a little difficulty putting the organs together because the spleen kept falling out because there is no way to secure it in place. We ended up just taking it out. He does not play with it but still thinks it is very cool. He still makes comments on the organs as he passes by it from time to time.

I was pleasantly surprised when I received this shark. It was bigger than I expected and was really sturdy. My 5 year old son and I were able to put it together in about 5 minutes. It is really neat and the parts are very realistic. The colors are bright, the parts fit well, and the shark is a great tool for learning. I wanted it to explain animal anatomy to my son, since he loves science and whatnot, but also because it looks cool and I know he would be happy to have it in his room. Overall a great purchase!

This product is AMAZING..... for MUCH older children. My 7-8 year olds struggled in the classroom (I, the adult, struggled) to get these pieces assembled and the instructions are not especially helpful :( It’s quite amazing once it’s built but if your child isn’t used to building with small legos or equivalent difficulty DO NOT GET THIS. I would suggest ages 10+ or if you have a “master builder” on your hands, maybe a bit younger. The children had a wonderful time trying, but the adults ultimately had to put it together (granted the box says 8+, and I’m working with younger 8 year olds). Know you’re builders;) it’s “SUPER COOL” (says the children) so even with its challenges they are drawn to it. Also, watch out. Those small bones BREAK easily. Oops. I got this and the dolphin for side by side comparison in 2/3rd grade. The kids LOVE them. They’re just difficult to assemble without help for this age.

I mean first of all, I was expecting something smaller. It's a lot bigger than I could even picture in so happy. Secondly this is a Christmas gift for a little boy who loves everything about sharks. It comes with a cute little pamphlet that tells you about the organs amongst other things. It's all around a good product and I'm very happy with the purchase! I will post pictures after Christmas!!

We bought this as a birthday gift for our 8 year old grandson who's REALLY into sharks. He unwrapped this gift and then didn't want any of his other gifts. He was even unwilling to bypass his shark birthday cake in order to put it together. This will be a HIT with any shark lover - very educational, very engaging. I didn't rate it as much "fun" because you really don't play with it but it's in his room, he's taken it to school for show and tell and it's my understanding that he takes it places with him to show others. This gets a 5 star rating from us on most of the categories listed above.

This was much more difficult to put together than I expected. We put together a ton of stuff this Christmas including complicated Lego sets, and this was by far the hardest. It is not something intended for play and is really a display model. After reading other reviews I knew this when I purchased it, so we are happy with that. My biggest problem is the picture shows the shark's insides being very clear but, when put together, there is actually a purple piece of liver that covers many of the organs. I had expected the contents of the shark's stomach to show when it was on display as well, so we were disappointed by that.

I purchased this model for my 6 year old son who not only loves all kinds of animals but asks a lot of questions about what they do and how they do it. This helps answer some of those questions. I think the age is for 8 year ols and up, but this model made sense to my 6 year old. He loves being able to display it in his room too. He even took it to show and tell at school when they were talking about anatomy.
