Prevue Pet Products Coffeawood Tree Style # 2 (Medium)

So we ordered a “small” and I have to say, having owned bigger birds in the past, a macaw or cockatoo would definitely be fine on here. I know it’s natural wood and the description says size may definitely vary, so I’m giving this 5 stars because they *did* include that disclaimer in an effort for full transparency, and it’s incredibly sturdy, doesn’t have a weird smell, and looks beautiful. It took my husband and I about 30 minutes from unpackaging to fully assembled to get it up. Our parrotlet is on here in pics for size (about the size of a finch), and we also have two conures. One of our girls has a slight disability so I wrapped the branches with Vet Wrap so she can more easily get around and so that the parrotlet can move around without slipping/falling since his toes are nowhere near being large enough to fit around the branches. Birds are messy so…no matter how the branches or bowls are positioned, expect to clean up regardless. They toss the seeds around anyway as they dig so the tray won’t catch everything. As far as poop and branch placement, it’s great and the tray catches all the droppings, but I’d recommend a layer of newspaper and then litter of some sort on top so you can just scoop and replace as necessary. They will poop on the tree itself because of the natural layered branches, so you’ll just have to clean the tree every so often. It’s smooth, so there is not much stick for your bird (especially depending on bird size) but I like that my human kiddos are free of getting splinters. The functionality is great—it comes with hooks to add toys and we’re also going to add some ropes so they have more of a playground feel. It’s a fairly heavy tree which again, we enjoy, because you can roll it wherever you want but it’s sturdy enough where it can’t just get knocked over. We have young birds so they were scared at first, having never seen something so big they can climb on. I’d recommend placing the tree next to their cage for a few days so they can get used to it if you have birds that aren’t accustomed to gigantic playgrounds. Overall, definitely worth the money and it’s a nice “change of scenery” if you have one or more birds!

Well packaged. Great value for the price. Plenty of perfectly sized perches/branches for my 5 month old Congo African Grey. Easily rolled from room to room and outdoor to indoor. Fantastic bowls. Could not be happier and would purchase another if I had the use. Found one on marketplace for MORE. Glad I bought this one. Based on mixed reviews I bought the small size and planned on exchanging until I was happy with the tree but I got it on the first try. Pictured various angles- 2 great bowls, multiple hooks for toys, arrived 2 days early, easily put together by someone that still calls the oil light the genie lamp 🤷🏻‍♀️

This is a really nice tree, it’s sturdy and was extremely easy to put together. I did wrap many of the branches in twine because the branches are quite slick, and my Amazon has grip issues, but she’s actually enjoying exploring it. It’s way bigger than I expected, a medium is plenty big for a large Amazon. Really, a larger macaw or cockatoo would be fine on this size tree. The tray is quite lightweight, and I wish the casters locked, but it does a great job catching the mess. It was expensive at $450, but only a week later it’s listed at $320, over $100 cheaper than what I paid; makes me feel I way overpaid for it.

I’ve purchased 3 of these over the years. This one is by far the best. Some come with branches that overhang the base, and it’s such a pain to constantly be wiping the floor and laying down a wide perimeter of paper all around the base, which I’ve been doing for the past 9 years with my last tree. And, because it’s proven to be far more frustrating than it’s worth, I took a chance and purchased this one and the third time has been the charm! None of the branches overlap each other or the base, the food dishes are in great spots, there’s a nice high branch for the birdie to look out the window, and no more mopping the floor! (Score!) Once I get it really decked out, my sweet Gray will love it! I’ll definitely be keeping this tree for the long haul. Thrilled with it, but, again, you definitely take your chances with these depending on what trees they’ve selected to harvest, and whether or not they cared where the branches flared when they drilled the holes for the stand and base. I got lucky this time, but I suggest being honest with yourself when you order one of these: if the setup is poor and if you can see that you’ll be mopping the floor a lot, don’t hesitate to send it back and try again. I know from experience that it’s not worth the years of hassle.

I bought the medium size for my Congo African Grey, but unfortunately, the branches are far too large and slippery for him to grip, making it unusable. It also did not have a lot of branches like the ones in the picture. I sent photos to request a return, but since it had already been assembled, the return fees were almost as much as the item itself — so effectively, it’s nonrefundable. I’ve attached a photo showing the thinnest branch with a measuring tape — even that one is quite thick. And although you can’t see it in the picture, the wood surface is very slick. Even for larger birds like macaws, there aren’t many usable perches, and the toys hang too low to reach. The stand is also wobbly, and the wood gives off a sour odor that fills the room. With how sensitive birds are to fumes, I can’t help but wonder if this wood is even safe, especially if chewed. I’m not sure how this product received so many positive reviews — maybe the smaller size works better. I’ll likely donate it to a bird rescue, since it’s not suitable for my CAG.

I love love love this tree BUT the base is too small so the poop misses and lands on the floor. I had AMAZON reach out to the seller, but have not heard from them yet. Looking forward to a larger base and a speedy resolution. At which time it is definitely a five star review. The tree itself is high-quality.

Super easy to put together! I ordered small and it is perfect for my cockatiel and parakeet🥰 Super easy to clean! Love the fact it has wheels on the bottom and can roll wherever in the house🥰 my only issue is trying to find room for it to go in the house because the base is a bit bigger than expected😂 but would definitely buy again!!

What I received is very close to what is pictured. However it is better in person! It is sturdy and very well made. The packaging is amazing; every part is protected in an incredibly strong box. It is environmentally friendly in its makeup. It took a couple weeks before our full-flighted African Gray Timnah began to choose it as her favorite place. She especially likes to “bathe” in the water containers.
