OMG! What a deal...what a knife!!!
Trust me when I tell you that this price for a brand new Buck 110 folding hunter is unheard of!! Best price out there as it retails from Buck for about $70.00 give or take a couple of bucks. Next: When you take this knife out of the box and feel it in your hand for the first time you will know what quality workmanship is and never own another brand of knife again. It feels like it was made just for your hand. I have never felt a more high quality, better balance, heavy duty cutting tool in my life. Heavy duty but not bulky or "too much" for the hand...just perfect. It comes more than razor sharp and with a mirror polish. The heavy leather sheath is hand made in Mexico (just as excellent leather workers as Americans and I come from a family of Scottish and German-American leather workers) and is ready for a long life and will take all the punishment on the job or in the field you can give it. I'd still use some high quality leather treatment to weather proof it to extend it's life but it comes well treated. I've owned Cold Steel, Benchmark, CRST, Gerber...none of them measure up to this knife or the other Buck I own (A fixed blade Pathfinder). I'll never own another Knife after seeing the quality of Buck knifes. ALSO: A lot of people complain about how they were just throwing their new buck around and Oh my the tip broke off and that's proof that Buck ain't that good!!! Hey, Buford! Read the paperwork that comes with the knife or the specs on the web site: This is a cutting tool...don't throw your Buck knife. If you don't use it the way it was made to be used don't expect things to go wrong...and you also void the warranty. A buddy of mine that passed away recently was a Viet Nam combat veteran who carried a Buck Special and a Buck 110 Folding Hunter from his first tour in Viet Nam in 1967 all through his life and left his collection of Buck Knives (including the two mentioned above) to his oldest son who now uses them for hunting and such just like his dad did. That's 45 years of service. I think that's worth the $29.00 asking price. Hell; it's worth the $70.00 but I'm glad I found the one here instead:)

Simple, durable, unbeatable and quality.
I just received the Buck 110 yesterday and I am not typically one to comment on my purchases but the sheer quality of this knife led me to write a review. I was, to be honest, simply looking for a good EDC knife. I am the type of guy who doesn't like to repeat what he has said if it has already been said and I certainly don't like to buy something again that has already been bought. Given that, I don't think I will ever need to buy another knife, circumstances permitting. The sheer heft and weight of the knife speaks volumes to the durability of the knife. It is not a light knife. Nor is it by any stretch a small knife. But I never asked for something that might float out of my pocket unchecked. I will say that it certainly was much larger than I had anticipated ( even given reviews pointing to the fact that this is a large knife), but I have no problems keeping this in my pocket. To be certain; I dont think I would be comfortable fitting anything else in the pocket with it, save some change or a pen. But rather than complain; I would say that if anything, it has earned its right to have its presence felt as I go about my day. Straight from the box it was the sharpest I have seen a knife. The amazon picture does a great disservice to spectacular workmanship on the brass, and particularly the nuances and rich color of the wood grain. It is simply beautiful. If it was not of such a sturdy and undeniably strong build I would be hesitant to use it. But its beauty is only surpassed by its simple functionality and toughness. Its is, unsurprisingly, built in the USA. As for the case, I could take it or leave it. I don't ever intend on using it but would I want to, I have found that it is a bit snug at first. Either way it seems to be solid and I would have no complaints using it while hiking or camping. But simply put the knife is razor sharp, beautifully constructed and one of the most durable knifes I have handled. It is large and that can be offputting to some, but really just look in the dimensions in the product description and take the measurement. Its right there for you to measure out. But even if you are unsatisfied by it, you sure as heck cant just break it out of dismay. Even if you do somehow manage to, the things got a lifetime warranty. All around, an amazing large knife that will not let you down. And it sure as heck wont be an heirloom to my children cause it's going underground with me, thats how much I like the thing. And with the affordable price, the kids can just earn their bread and buy one themselves, it won't break their bank account!

Wow!!! Very sharp and beautiful knife.
I read a lot of reviews both really good and some really bad. I had already ordered the buck 110 folding hunter knife before I read reviews because of it's past reputation. I really wanted to support their company because they are American made. After reading 20 or 30 bad reviews I became concerned. Many were saying Buck is not the same quality as it was in the past. I thought well if that's the case I'll just send it back as soon as I get it. To my joyful surprise it was almost flawless. I did oil it thoroughly and move it back and forth until it moved smoothly. All is well now and I am very pleased with my new buck 110. Oh, one more thing the sheath is a nice sheath but I would prefer an American made one. I think buck should sell the knife with a made in America sheath. I believe customers would be willing to pay extra for American craftsmanship. " Great job Buck employees"

Must have classic American pocket knife
Not much I can add about this knife that hasn't already been said. It's an icon for many reasons. Too large to pocket carry, unless you're built like Jason Mamoa. But as a truck knife, or the one you take camping or throw in your fishing tackle box, you can't do better than the Buck 110 Folding Hunter. I also appreciate that the Buck Knives company has kept prices affordable throughout the years. You get a lot of knife here for a very reasonable price. This is among the most significant and influential knives ever invented, and perhaps the most copied design. Like the Fender electric guitar and the Harley Davidson motorcycle, the Buck 110 is a slice (pun intended) of American history. Just get one. You will either use it regularly, or simply enjoy it as a classic work of art, still made in the USA.

Every Red Blooded American Should Own This Knife
This knife is a thing of beauty. I am a nostalgic man, and I am already dreaming of handing down this knife to my daughter one day, as it will surely outlast me. Buck makes a fine knife and this is their flagship. When you hold this knife in your hand you don't want to put it down, it just feels so nice in your hand. The blade is beautiful in and of itself. Buck uses a 440 High Carbon steels for this knife, which I believe is proprietary to Buck. It is renown for holding an edge exceptionally well. The Knife I received was extremely sharp out of the box. I really like the semi-sharpened spine on the back of the blade too. I haven't tried it yet, but it seems like it would great with a firesteel. The knife I received had very little side to side wiggle, which is a sign of a quality knife. The locking mechanism is solid and simply to use. When open, it feels like you're holding a fixed blade knife. The sheath is great as well, and you need a sheath for this knife. It is large and uncomfortable to hold in a pocket. On your belt however, it sits great in the sheath and I forget it is there. I wanted a brown leather sheath for mine as it suits me better, so I picked up one on here for about $27. It a a little expensive, but knowing that I am going to have this knife for the rest of my life, I wanted the sheath to suit my style. I received a 50th anniversary edition of the knife and I am so glad I did. It's got a beautiful 50 years emblem on the wood handle. There is a reason this knife has been around for 50 years - they are beautiful, incredibly functional, built to last, and made in America. I would gladly buy this knife again and again, but luckily I won't have to - this knife will still be going like a champ long after I'm gone, especially considering Buck's great 4Ever warranty (though I doubt I'll ever need it). If you are not sure about this knife, trust me and purchase it. It is worth every penny, and from the moment you take it out of the box you will be in love with this knife.

Very nice! Super sharp!!
Nice knife, very sharp. It was a replacement for the Buck knife I lost in the woods looking for a friend's lost dog.

Buck. Warranty and workmanship is excellent
Sheath came too tight. Depressed blade and opened locking mechanism. Buck warranty might help. Great knife!

Great quality for a mass produced knife
This has become my favorite pocket knife. Im familiar with it because my dad had one when I was a kid but I never had my own. I even have a a little tattoo of this knife because he always had it on him. I have quite a few pocket knives and multi tools but I wanted a simple single blade classic. I believe many of the single blades I own aren't American made. I wasn't expecting a big quality difference but there definitely is a large difference. The blade thickness and balance immediately stood out. The handle was very smooth and probably the most comfortable compared to my other knives. The knife feels durable and has that "like they used to make" level of quality I didn't expect at this price point. However it is heavy and large so it's not the most discreet thing you could get. Very happy

Finally!
After all these years I decided to buy an original. I was sceptical about getting a fake but with some research I dived into it. What a buy. I went for one that was offered at a lower price and totally satisfied with what I received. Such a solid build and quality is second to none. A handy tool to have and have used it for a number of things. Looked super cool in using it for my steak in one of our camping trips. Unless a bigger job comes up, this is all I need. Super happy!
