Not rubber! A hard plastic so doesn't seal around the cable and harder to pull apart Still a well made product

These are exactly what I wanted to connect my garden trimmers to my extension lead. They are made of tough, hard plastic which matches the orange colour of outdoor appliance leads. I bought two pairs to fit two different trimmers. Just the job. I find this type of connector is a bit of a fiddle to fit onto a cable, with small screws, but well worth the effort, and you only have to do the job once. The plugs are helpfully marked on the outside with what they should be connected to, and an instruction sheet is included in the pack. Make certain that the connector with the bare metal brass prongs goes on the appliance cable, not the mains cable, to prevent danger of electric shock or burns.

Very easy to wire if you know how to wire a plug. It’s probably good to be aware that the live end should always be in the shrouded side of the plug connection

As other customers have said , it’s very fiddly and there were no instructions !!!!! This would have helped enormously in working out how to get to the inner parts! The product does the job but is not rubber as it is advertised - it seems to be a hard plastic !

Needed to join 2 lengths of arctic cable, could not say its waterproof as not fitted with cable 'gland seals'. Its hold between each part could be better, I use a large elastic band, so its easy to pull apart if needed.

Nice secure plug that fit tightly together.
