WCC Exam Secrets Study Guide: WCC Test Review for the Wound Care Certification Examination (Secrets (Mometrix))

If we are studying for this exam we have the knowledge and the experience to do so which is why when I got a question incorrect I was looking for more comprehensive explanations. The rationales in the practice exams were basic and didn’t address most of the multiple choice options.I also found many conflicting information throughout the book. Some examples of conflicting messages:-(study guide) not enough information on skin substitutes they only mention to by name which are from the same company and one of them is no longer on the market.-(study guide) There are a couple techniques that contradict themselves depending on the situation. Like how to use the Doppler; for ABIs The Doppler is held at a 45° angle but adjust check pulses it’s held at a 90° angle. This would’ve been a great opportunity to offer insight to why there is a difference. However they don’t but this was a question on the practice test in the book as well as in one of their other study materials.-study guide says 37 degrees Celsius for hydrotherapy but practice exam book says water should exceed 35.5C. What do I believe!!??-Study guide stated 15-30min for topical lidocaine but practice exam book has 3-5min as correct answer. I reached out to their team for clarification which didn’t offer a reference but at least said that they would look into conflicting info in the book.

Great test prep! I am an LVN and am currently looking to sharpen my skills so this study guide was very informative and helpful. I love the way it is organized, and it is really easy to find topics throughout the book. I found the important key words easily as a great subject check in and learned a lot.

Love this book. It is agreat study tool with test questions to see what areas you need to spend additional time on. You still need to do the work. I’ll follow up after I take my WCC exam.

This book contains little helpful information. Do yourself a favor and buy Acute and Chronic Wounds: Current Management Concepts, 4e byRuth Bryant

Very helpful in giving me a good leg to stand on for this difficult exam. I took class as well with review questions but felt the questions in this book were more like the true exam questions.

This was not at all helpful to me. It covers the basics but the actual exam ended up being completely different from what this exam review covers.

Earned 3 stars for being ''the only game in town''. There is one practice exam in the book and they did a nice job. Shoulda included 3-4 more. The rest of the book is Nurse 101 and abbreviated A&P. Its hasty and sloppily put together with poor editing. It looks very ''homemade''. Still--- there really is no other choice for prepping for this exam outside the class materials and it dont cost much.
