7 lens and lubed it with LucasOils box store white lithium grease to find out it doesn't work great. Too stiff
I took apart a stiff Zeiss Contax 50mm 1.7 lens and lubed it with LucasOils box store white lithium grease to find out it doesn't work great. Too stiff.Purchased this and relubed the helicoids and it's much better. Maybe not quite as buttery as a brand new Zeiss with factory lube, but pretty darn close, and the action is good. You don't need too much. With the 2oz tub I could have done like 100 of these lenses.Note the factory lube has more of a dry feel while this is more of a wet lube, but not too messy.Would recommend.

Lifetime Supply
I only needed a single molecule of grease but this small tub seemed well-reviewed. I'm glad I bought it because now my children and my children's children to the 77th generation will not want for grease.

Great product
Used this grease to re-lube several focusing helicoids of vintage manual focus lenses, all work great.

Exactly what I needed for vintage telescope restoration. Smooth as silk, and no worry about migrating to optics.

Appropriate lubricant.
I have a collection of Vintage lenses from Pentax, Minolta, Konica and Yashica. I shoot manual lenses on my Fuji XPro1's and XE2's. I got into the hobby of restoring old lenses and performing CLA, all I can say is this is an appropriate lubricant because it is synthetic and does not gas out (meaning the oil can evaporate and leave a film on the inner lens elements, causing haze, the reason you don't use WD40 as an alternative). It is good for what it is, but can still be a bit thick depending on helicoid tolerance which is different from manufacturer to manufacturer, I use a higher viscosity synthetic oil for other jobs. I bought it directly from the manufacturer and that tub would probably service 2000 lenses....yes, I wrote that right, 2000 lenses, you don't need much per lens.
