Different from original, but still very fun!
The main difference is the layout. You now have several hubs with each one being centered around a particular Indy movie, three hubs for the Crystal Skull, one for the Super Bonus levels and a Creator Hub. It takes a little getting used to at first, but once you understand the layout it is easy to work with. The new split screen effect for two players is great! I can't say enough about it. I often play with my kids and I love not fighting over who is going which way in the screen. The only time I find it awkward is during some of the flying races.Free play has changed and is now tucked away in the Creator hub. It took me a while to find it and get the hang of it, but it is fun too. You can choose two players to play along with the basic two players the level plays with during the Story mode, so you get four players to play the level with. The Level Builder is amazing. I found it very entertaining after spending a little while in it.We have encountered a couple of freezes, but nothing long term that has caused us much grief, just a quick restart of the game. They have really spread things out in this episode, but it all works out for a really good time. My kids and I all love playing this game and have almost finished it to 100% percent.

Can't go wrong with the these LEGO games
For reference, this review is coming long after this game has come out.I have owned every single one of these LEGO game. From the first "Lego Star Wars: the video game" for ps2 to the most recent "Lego Pirates of the Caribbean" for the ps3, they are all fantastic! (I also have Lego Harry Potter years 5 -7 wrapped for Christmas)These are some of the few games that the whole family can play together(and enjoy). Myself, my wife(both 34 y.o.), two sons(now 4 and 9 y.o.), and nieces and nephews(between 3 and 13) all love to play these games.Having said all of that, this game in particular is not the best of them, but still very good. Most of the game is based on the 4th movie in the franchise(the worst one). Also, the levels of each section also get very formulaic and repetitive. We all enjoyed playing it, got near 100% completion, then moved on to the next game.If you have played other games in the LEGO movie franchise and enjoyed them, you will enjoy this one as well. If this would be your first LEGO video game, don't base your judgemnt of the series on this lone title. There are better ones out there. At this point, if you can get this game used on the cheap, it won't be a waste of time or money.

I love Indiana Jones! Lego Indy is so much fun!
I am an adult and I love LEGOS. Having LEGO video games for your favorite Movies or even other game crossovers is bonus! These LEGO games follow a more family friendly version of the source material, plenty of comical jabs and are really fun. Nothing like Destroying other Lego characters and more pieces fly out than what holds them together! The local co-op makes it fun for friends and families to play together.

Not just a kid's game
I purchased this game because my 5 yr old grandson borrowed it from the public library and instantly took to it. Once it was in the house, however, my husband took over, and now they're both playing the game. It's not as easy as the "Lego" leads you to believe! For those who have played Lego games previously, many of the actions are very much the same, so the learning curve is not huge. But the story, characters and basic structure of the game are different, and will hold your interest for hours and hours. I'm not sure how long it will take my guys to solve the entire game, but they've been working at it for about three months now, and still have a long way to go. Considering the price of these games, it's nice to have one that holds everyone's interest and is not easy to finish! I highly recommend for ages 5 to 99!

LEGO Indiana Jones 2
This is a lot of fun! You get to smash things, like boxes and even flowers, to get credits. Even driving was fun, as you drive and SMASH into your pursuers to make their LEGO rides fall apart! Some of the puzzles were not too straightforward, but after exhausting all other options I was able to figure them out; I was not stuck on the puzzles much at all.The music is right out of the movies, and well worth it. I really liked the episodes they chose for the play through. Unlocking characters and new episodes was fun.Anyway, this game is not hard and has TROPHIES! Cool!Hope this short review helps. Oh, I was sent to desktop once with a crash, but no big deal. I did not have many bugs at all. FUN GAME!

Pure enjoyment!
When this game was announced I thought it would be a cheap revision of the first one (that was pretty good by the way). I thought it would be the first game with an additional hub for Crystal Skull movie, but NO! The game was made from scratch, with a much improved game engine. It's not so driven by the movie stories like the first one, but it freed the game developers to produce a serious LEGO madness... Indy style! The co-op was improved as well, and now you and your partner can work on different parts of the stage without distance limitations, and that increases the fun in co-op play a lot.In short, Lego Indiana Jones 2: The Adventure Continues, is a great game for both Indy and LEGO franchises.
