Key Fob Case Shell (Swap Your Original Blade)

The media could not be loaded. I’m so glad that I bought this instead of going to the dealer. It was easy to assemble, came with everything needed, it is durable, I’ve been using it for months with no issues, the price couldn’t be better. Don’t give your money to the dealer unless you’re really pressed about the logo on the back. Other than that I would recommend it.

I had reservations about this product which turned out to be unfounded. Low cost replacement products for important parts of a vehicle don't usually work out well. I'm pleased to say this product has performed well since placed in service some three or four weeks ago. There was a minor amount of slop in the fit of my key, but not the electronics that also go into the shell. The slight movement was addressed with a very small piece of plastic I cut from a scrap. The imperfect fit of the key would not bother most people, but I'm a perfectionist.Everything considered I would purchase another shell from this seller if one is ever needed in the future.

It is a low cost and good replacement case shell for the remote of my 2004 Lexus ES330. It works perfectly. It works so well that I purchased another one to repair my second remote (the plastic shell of both of my remotes were broken). Both remotes work great now.The small plastic part where the metal key is inserted into is very tight. I had to file down a small area of the metal key in order to insert it into the plastic part. I have to remove one star from the "Easy to install" rating. Otherwise, it would have been 5-stars.The other thing that I want to mention is that this is very likely we will also replace the battery inside the electronic part of the key. Doing this may distort the cover of the electronic part, and the electronic part may not fit well inside the case shell. And we may have a hard time trying to put the two halves of the case shell together. This is best to put the electronic part of the key facing down into the case shell to make sure it fits before putting the two halves together.The replacement case shell is just like the original one -- the shell is thin and fragile. That is the reason why it will eventually crack and be broken into pieces. This is a problem coming from the original design, and there is not much that the replacement can do to improve over the original one. Hopefully this replacement shell can last another 10 years or so or until the car will be replaced eventually. Meanwhile, I still need to use the key carefully -- by holding as close to the metal part of the key as possible while turning the key.

My kids are ruff on this car key so I find myself having to purchase this shell casing at least once a year. Its an older car so I do not want to pay for an entirely new key when the car itself wont be around much longer. It comes with all of the items necessary to make the transfer of the key piece into the new housing. 10 out of 10 highly reccomend.

it says it fits but it doesn't. It's just a bit too small & won't snap into place.this was for a 2007 Lexus Rx350

I have a gx 470 2007 Lexus. This Key Fob is not an exact fit the insides sink in making it difficult forme to open and close my doors.

The plastic shell of my Lexus key cracked and got worse & worse over the past 4 years. After years of ducktape I bought a different case that came with a blank blade that was permanently fixed to the case. I took that to two key smiths to cut the blade to match my existing one. Neither of them could make a blade that would start the car. This one was perfect my electronic remote and my old blade fit perfectly. A single screw and it works fine and feels more solid that the original one from Lexus.

Bought for my friend who broke his key it is easy to put together and hasn’t had a problem since!
