Budget tablet actually worth 5 stars
Warning. Netflix is not available for download on google play store as the device is not google play certified. That basically means any device that isnt name brand cannot download netflix, including this tablet. Dont let that prevent you from getting the tablet as there are other slightly more technical ways to download netflix onto the device.Screen quality is fantastic. Very sharp, vivid colors. Screen brightness can be adjust to be dark or almost blindingly bright. Another warning however, if you watch videos in 1080p that are complicated, as in lots of moving objects on the screen, the tablets frame rate will drop down to about 10 frames per second. Watching Cartoons, reviews or tutorials, or basically anything that isnt an action thriller with fire and explosions every 10 seconds, then this wont be an issue.Battery life is outstanding. Battery charges quick and lasts to 10 hours and beyond, and i watch Youtube full volume and brightness for most of those hours.Storage capacity is great for being a budget friendly 160 dollar tablet, really makes it worth while that you can expand via microSD a nice 128 Gigs.Very easy to use. Its ui is almost completely stock android 9. If you're familiar with an android phone you will have 0 problems learning your way around. I like that all ports and buttons are on one side of the tablet instead of being spread out and inconvinietely placed.Audio is very quiet, but not at all tinny or distorted. Bass is almost non existent but being that the tablet is only 160 bucks and i have nice bluetooth headphones, this isnt an issue therefore i did not take from the 5 star review.

A great tablet for $160
I bought this to have a flexible Andriod tablet for media consumption. It was between this Matrixpad Z10 and the Fire 10 HD. I ordered a refurbished Fire 10 HD, only to have Amazon go out of stock while it was supposed to have been shipped. Thankfully that happened, because I'm sure this is a much better option than the Amazon tablet from everything I’ve seen and read on the matter. It's priced right at $160, which is what I paid. I see now that the price has risen to $170. It's probably worth that, too, but maybe the price will come back down soon. The construction is solid, with an aluminum (I assume) case. The screen comes with a protector-like film on it, and after taking that off I was able to see that the PPI and resolution are good (not Ipad good, but this is a bargain tablet so no surprise). Bluetooth pairing to earbuds works well, the buttons feel solid, and the battery life seems true to the spec. It has plain Android Pie, which is a plus(no adware, bloatware, no lock screen ads like the Fire, etc).I would recommend this over the Fire 10 HD for anyone who just wants Android, and the ability to easily install any app that you want. It does that beautifully.

Value and performance exceeds the price
With an aging but still functional Samsung tablet stuck on Android 4.1 and no factory support since, I decided never to fork out premium money ever again on a tablet or cell phone. The old tablet was fine, but I finally reached the point where some of the apps I wanted were either no longer functional or available for the aged Android 4.1 OS. What's the point of having a tablet or phone that can last a decade if the support (operating system) for it is only good for a couple of years? For some naive reason I always assumed one of the benefits of paying a premium price for a premium product was extended product support (vs cheaper alternatives). Well .... WRONG!! So I embarked on a process of finding an affordable, but capable alternative to the ridiculous pricing of Samsung products. With a barrage of cheap, chinese, no-name tablets on the market, it was a daunting task sifting through the information and reviews to determine which could be trusted. Many of the cheaper tablets (especially on auction sites) make wild claims on their specs that have proven not only false, but intentionally (and perhaps criminally) so. After many days and plenty of hours reading and researching I decided to go with the Vankyo Matrixpad Z10 with 3GB ram, 32GB storage and Android 9 OS. Am I ever glad I did. After several weeks of heavy use with this Vankyo, I am pleased to report that their specs are accurately reported and the performance exceeds my expectations.I won't repeat everything stated on the spec sheet (it's accurate), or on many of the reviews already posted. I will say that my previous tablet had 2GB of ram and this Vankyo is noticeably faster and smoother by comparison. The screen is bright enough and colors vivid, but what I appreciate the most is the "eye comfort" setting when using at night of a dimly lit room. "Eye comfort" - when on, turns off the blue light on the screen and everything becomes tinted with a soft amber background or undertone. It's incredibly useful and pleasant. In brighter environments when reading books on the tablet, I like the "Read Made" which turns everything black and white. The 10" screen offers plenty of real estate for surfing the web, browsing ebay or amazon - and it supports split screen operation to boot. So I can run youtube on one side while surfing the web on the other. Very nice.I popped in a 64GB micro-sd card and the tablet offers both an option to format it as portable storage (for switching between devices) or for system usage (presumably a bit faster). I chose the system format since it's expected to stay with the tablet in my case. Performance is very good.Overall I am very pleased with this purchase, so much so that if I see another lightning deal or good sale on it, I plan to buy at least 2 more for family members. With the more current Android 9 OS, I can stomach the thought of keeping this tablet until apps no longer support it and then simply replacing it. I can buy 4 or 5 of these Matrixpads for the same price as one Samsung or Apple Tablet of similar specs. There may be other similar reputable budget tablets, but I took a chance on this one and have absolutely NO regrets. I highly recommend it.

Nice Screen Resolution, Not Netflix Compatible
Screen resolution is nice, I like the ability to customize so many things that you can't with an Apple iPad, for example the size of a calendar on the screen or the more specific placement of icons. Biggest drawback is the fact that Netflix is not compatible with this tablet-a fact that may be a deterrent for some people. Size of the screen is nice, finding a case for it was limited in options.Update-I emailed Vankyo regarding the tablet not working with Netflix. They emailed me back instructions and a file that allowed the tablet to work with Netflix. There isn't a tablet wide update that allows it to be compatible yet, but I appreciate that this works in the meantime.
