Cantu Extra Hold Thick Hair Clip

The best. I bought so many to have on reserve. Like a banana clip but wider. My daughter asks for this all the time when I ask her what hairstyle she wants. Hair never gets knotted or tangled like a hair tie for my daughter's hair. Convenient, easy, and very secure. Never falls out. Material is plastic and I never had one break on me. Very sturdy.

This is amazing. I don’t use hair ties anymore because this clip is truly all that and then some. I have very curly, out of control hair. I always have to buy the biggest hair ties on the market just to hold my mane up. This clip does wonders for my hair though. I feel a secure hold, if never slips or loosens up throughout the day like many others that I’ve tried. For a hair clip it really is high quality and there is so much value for the price you pay. From the shape, to the secure hold, to the price point- buy this. You won’t regret it.

For the money it's a good clip. It's slightly larger than I expected it to be be it holds a lot of hair or thick hair well. It holds your hair snugly without it feeling tight and through some trial and error it's pretty easy to remove it from your hair without pulling it which is important to me. But it does feel thin and flimsy and while it hasn't broken yet it always feels like it might. And the part where it clips doesn't feel secure. The two ends sort of hug each other if that makes sense and I wish it snapped in place instead.

You often hear the saying " you get what you pay for". I never subscribed to this. As a bargain shopper, I get quite a few things for below the market average that works wonderfully and I get tons of compliments. However, I have thick natural curly hair. I saw ads for the PuffCuff. It looked like a great product but I wasn't about to spend nearly $20 on one hair accessory, so I was excited with Cantu completely swiped the idea and came out with a cheaper alternative. But Cantu's cuff is useless. It can hold my bangs with a bit of water and effort. I like wearing a big full puff on the top of my head. I achieve this look with a satin thin material almost as thin as a shoestring. The problem is this same technique does not work for a low back or side ponytail. I need to invest in a REAL cuff. It can be tight, when holding your ponytail or bun together. I miss the puff cuff, that wasn't tight, ever.

easy to use and comfortable as well, doesn't hurt the back of your head like a claw clip would and keeps the hair out of your face, works amazing for long curly hair. It's made out of a harder plastic so i wouldn't say it's super flexible but it's definitely sturdy and durable. It's also easy to remove and doesn't usually tangle.

It's actually too large for my hair in a ponytail but it may work for a bun. I'll have to experiment. It feels like good quality and will hold up to continuous use. The closure seems secure and doesn't pop open.
