i was slightly skeptical that anything would be able to withstand my dog aggressively clawing at my door but this is a great product, i put it on my bedroom door and you can immediately hear the difference, i have a 50 pound poodle who is very strong and psycho, she has no chance of scratching through this plastic protector at all even when she scratches non stop, only thing i would say is definitely measure whatever you're using this for because i had to order another tube but i did not do any measurements and compare to how much is in each tube so that's my fault, the sound of her scratching is so muffled now and does not rip, easy to install but is sticky so will have to clean scissors after cutting the material

These work and look great and protect the paint from dog nails. I recently moved and cleaned/painted all the doors. My little dog is a door scratcher, so I purchased this and had to get another roll to finish the rest of the doors (I didn’t think about how much I actually needed). The 63” roll got about 3 sides of doors, I trimmed the width a little and used those extra pieces on the door frame. Once placed I barely notice them, glad I didn’t go with a silver plate.Installing was a little tricky, the second roll I got that was larger had backing on it which help during placement. The doors already had dents from previous dogs/wear and tear, so there is some bubbling.

I was going to use for around my doors as my cat likes to scratch the wood off. I put up and a few days later I check to make sure it wasn’t going to peel off paint and it peeled off paint from around the door frame. So if you want it for this, I would recommend going with something else.

I needed to cut this to get a narrow piece to fit my door. Due to the adhesive, it's difficult to cut and work with. I got a large piece of wax paper and laid the sticky side down on top of the wax paper, then laid it on a large cutting board, measured, then cut it using a ruler and Exacto knife. I peeled it off the wax paper and applied it to my door. Time will tell if it protects the door from my Bernese Mountain Dog. It would be helpful if the manufacturer put a piece of non-stick paper on one side of their product, like contact paper has.

I thought this would solve my problem. One of our cats likes to claw the carpet at doors. I used this going into the bedroom and the bathroom. It worked great at first. Now he claws and punctures through it. It is very thick and sticky. Laid down very well. Have not tried it on furniture, that has not been a problem so far. I think this would work well except for those very determined felines like mine.....

I am using this in lieu of a brass kickplate on my door. I love it because it’s hard to tell it’s there and it does its job beautifully. No trouble with sticking or staying put. 10/10

After looking at many reviews for different adhesives, I chose this one, and I’m so glad I did! The adhesive was very strong and was easy to apply. I even removed it to ensure placement and it didn’t remove the paint. When applying, I made sure to slowly place on the wall and to remove any air bubbles. It’s really durable, it’s transparent and looks great, the fit was good; I wish it was wider. It’s given the protection that I wanted so it’s very functional and durable. I highly recommend this peoduct!

Be careful where you put this product, it takes paint off on painted areas. It does work for not letting scratches through to the surface, just wish it did remove paint
