Sennheiser SD Pro 1 ML (506010) - Single-Sided, Multi Connectivity Wireless DECT Headset for Desk Phone & Certified for Skype for Business, Ultra Noise-Cancelling Microphone (Black)

Now that I'm working from home 100% of the time I needed a good headset for my desk phone and for PC based tools like Teams, Skype, and Zoom. My work provided a headset, but I wanted better. I've used Sennheiser mics in the pro audio applications in the past, and knew of the quality. So, I looked at what they had to offer and spent a few bucks and bough a Sennheiser SD Pro 1 ML headset from Amazon. They aren't cheap, but they work great and sound great. After four months of use the base of the headset (part that connects to the PC and charges the headset) developed a problem that made it difficult to securely attach the headset. I called Sennheiser to learn that this product line had been sold to Demant Sound. I called up Demant expecting to hear one of two things: 1)"Sorry, but we don't honor Sennheiser's warranty on products you did not buy from us" or 2)"Send the base in, and we will evaluate it and may provide a replacement". At best I knew I was going to have to pay to ship the base back for evaluation and repair, and I was already trying to dig out an old half-broken headset to use for the two or three weeks while I waited. I was very impressed with the response from Demant. I sent the agent a couple of photos of the base and headset showing the problem. A couple of days later I received an email saying a new base was being shipped to me. Once I determine that the new base solves the problem (it does) I am to notify Demant Sound, and they will send me a pre-paid shipping label to return the defective base. It's been decades since I've had a vendor ship me a replacement product without a credit card number changing hands! Thanks, Sennheiser and Demant! Job well done!

I own two, and have purchased 3 for other employees. one employee insisted on some logicrap gaming headgear and got what he wanted, gaming headgear. It wasn't meant for voice quality, that's for sure, the range is crap as one would expect not being this wireless spec, but the usual PC gear stuff instead, and voice quality and mic sensitivity completely sucks. I'm sure games SOUND good with all that 7.1 surround crap in the earpiece though, but I don't see how that helps you in a call or meeting. The worst is the mic picking up every little bit of background noise it possibly can. So annoying to even have him in meetings anymore for that. back to this thing, other employees use that and we love it. on occasion there is quiet/muted volume issue or connection drop to the base station, due to other wireless interference. One of my employees has this happen a bit, but hitting the button on the base forces a channel change and all is well. He doesn't have any other cordless phones and beyond networking equipment nothing really at all, he hasn't figured that out. It's only a minor annoyance however. It only happened to me once, leaving the bedroom on the top floor (3 story) while walking down the driveway past the pool and to the mailbox down a massive hill. I made it about 3 ft. from the mailbox and lost connection, thinking it was range and still very impressed with that, but unlike usual it didn't regain connection until I made it back up to the top floor and hit the button on the base station. Still, it only happened to me once. Plus the range is good enough to sit at the pool so hey, I can't complain!

Product work great for about a week. Then suddenly the product kept transitioning to the headset to telephone which I did not have plugged in at all and would not stay on the computer audio. Returned for a refund.

We bought 4 of these 2 to replace dead ones. Now the new ones are dead as well. This is just not a good product. You get crackling, you cant be heard etc. etc. etc. Very frustrating. We thought this brand would be better. DO NOT BUY!

light weight, easy to install and operate, great functionality

Love this headset/base. Super light, doesn’t create ear swamp like over the ear headphones. Works great on my Mac with MS Teams, fully customizable without installing any software (everything is configured via dip switches on bottom of base). Battery life is around 8 hours in long range mode, which allows me to walk anywhere in my 3 story house without loosing connectivity. Only complaint is that you cannot see if your microphone is muted without looking at the base or pressing the mute button and listening for the beep letting you know if it is muted or not.

We use it with Ooma on desktop, no problems so far. They sound great!

This relatively expensive headset quit working after only 9 months of use. When I attempted to exchange or replace it, I found the warranty expired after only one month and refund/return expired after 6 months. There is no provision for faulty equipment. I am very disappointed and have attempted to contact the company. They, too, have been unresponsive.
