USEFUL AND WORKS AS INTENDED
Works as intended and is not bad in price BY THE WAY WHEN YOU PUT THE SWITCH IN MAKE SURE TO PUSH WHERE THE STEM IS USING YOUR INDEX FINGER AND IT POPS OUT! It works everytime for me! It doesn't work on Kailh style switches since its NOT A KAILH STYLE SWITCH OPENER!

Works well
This should handle about 80% ish of the the switches available in the wild. There are those elusive Kaihl style toolings you will run into that require a little different layout than what this offers. I'd love to see a wider base to help with the stability as well as a better material. Over time (after roughly 800 switch teardowns) the switches are not latching to the opening posts very well. However, this thing is cheap and available on Thingiverse if you have your own 3D printer. Update: I purchased another one of these as I lost my original. The updated version has much steeper wedges than the original and I've broken three MX tops. To fix this, I sanded down the edges which lift the sides out using 1000 grit sandpaper. In switches 20, 3 broke. Now I'm 200 in and no problems after sanding the side smooth.

Good Tool to Disassemble Many Switches Quickly
It's a cheapo 3d printed piece of plastic, but it's for a niche market and there's logistics involved and all that so the price is pretty high - which is fair and something I think many reviewers don't understand. I used it to take apart over 100 zealios (same housing as gateron), was able to do them all in only around 30 minutes. Using a screw driver on the 4 plastic tabs would have taken hours. So the tool accomplishes what it's supposed to, at least for some types of switches (zealios and gateron are among the most popular, so it'll at least work with those) None of the switches were damaged at all, it took me a few minutes to get used to the tool but after that I was disassembling the switches in no time. I recommend just pressing down around the stem and then pulling up the top housing and the switch should come apart.

Not all switches work with this
I tried using this on my Gateron Reds, thinking it would help shorten the process of lubing my switches. However, I found that the design on the Gateron switches do not fit this opener. Instead of the usual 2 legs on the top switch-housing, Gateron switches have 2 big tabs. Because of the different design, Gateron switches and Kailh Box switches are not compatible with these switches. Note: This opener did work well to open my NovelKeys Cream switches

No more trashed keyboards
Where ya been all my life my sweet Cherry? If you are on a keyboard customization learning curve, perhaps you may have trashed a keyboard, too? The Byhoo Cherry MX works well. Take your time—fast and well-lubed response will be your new conquest! Recommended and also returnable is it doesn’t work for you.

Don't buy
Worst investment of 2020 and it just started. One star because it is easy to use but it just doensn't work. I have 65 Tealios to lube and it won't open a single one. Don't buy this, you'll regret it.

Works with Glorious Pandas
Got this little thing to pop open Glorious Panda switches and it works fine for that—the switch opened so easily the first time that the spring almost flew into my eye. It's a little pricy for being a piece of plastic but that's the cost of buying only one unit and getting free prime shipping with it.

Adequately performs the required task
Product opens switches as advertised. You have to press a bit harder than expected but that's not really an issue. 4 I'm giving it a 4 star because the price is a bit high for a very simple, single use, 3d printed tool.

Its a small plastic block that lets you open Cherry switches. It does its work.

Cool

Dit is de eerste switch opener die ik ooit heb besteld en gebruik, dus ik kan niet tegen duurdere varianten vergelijken. De opener maakt de switch wel open, maar ik had verwacht dat het makkelijker open zou gaan.

Switch opener works as intended. It looks 3d printed but it gets the job done.
