Thick like a DQ Shake, Moist enough for my Cat
Great product, looks thick but moist. Thank god my picket eater cat finished a packet! My cat prefers not to eat wetfood in a solid form. Let's see how long I can have it in the rotation before she snubs it.

Silky, cat-accepted, but expensive
Expensive but very silky; accepted by a picky-eater cat when nothing else will do.

Great for cats with bad teeth or no teeth and picky eaters
Cats liked the consistency and the extra water content helped with senior cat hydration

Pricey, but nutritious and high quality. Packaging not user-friendly.
Pricey cat food, but nutritious, quality ingredients, and high water content - cats are often poor water drinkers. My cat likes this flavor and the chicken/egg flavor one. The pouches are kind of a pain in the neck to open - they rarely tear straight across, sometimes splatter, and I always have to rinse off my hands after opening them. Protein content is unnecessarily high.Worth the price to me, but wish theyʻd change the packaging to be more user-friendly.

Our cat loves these
I was using Smalls food with our cat but she got tired of it pretty quickly, and it's quite expensive. She likes these much better and they are so convenient. I love that it's a variety pack and all you have to do is zip off the top of the bag and squeeze it into a bowl. She generally licks the bowl clean with these and they are adding much-needed moisture to her diet. We feed her both dry and wet food and I think she enjoys having the variety.

Great quality! My cat just didn’t enjoy it unfortunately 😆 he’s picky!

My cat loves it in every flavor and it’s making her coat look beautiful.
I just gave my cat part of a pouch of the tuna and mackerel, it smelled kinda good actually, like a can of tuna for humans, made me hungry lol. My cat is EXTREMELY picky about textures, she will only eat wet food that is the texture of those squeezable treats, she won’t eat something as thick as a pate in a can, as it’s not moist and soft enough for her liking, and she won’t eat chunks which most alternatives to pate are broth with chunks, she sucks out the broth leaving the chunks. But this was like a mousse texture, fully pureed with no noticeable chunks, but moist enough and soft enough that she ate it! I gave her about 2x the amount of what would be in one squeezable treat since she doesn’t like to eat a lot in one sitting, and I put the rest of the pouch away in the fridge for giving her later. But she ate up the entire portion I gave her, this is the first wet food that’s actual food and not a treat, which she has eaten happily. I’m so glad she likes it, because I wanted to make half of her diet wet food so she’s not just eating kibbles, but kibbles are important for tooth health. Hopefully this doesn’t cause any indigestion or anything, she’s used to having a tube of squeezable treat every day so adding wet food to her diet shouldn’t cause diarrhea. I’ll update if this upsets her digestion. I just fed her about 30 mins ago so, too soon to tell.Update: My cat has been eating this food for more than a year now, I think it’s made a huge difference in her coat. Her fur is thicker, fluffier, shinier. She just looks like a whole new cat. This was definitely the missing piece of her diet. She used to throw up her kibble sometimes in the past from indigestion and eating too fast. She doesn’t do that anymore since she’s started eating this food. (She still eats kibble too.) I will keep buying this brand as long as it stays high quality.

Too tempting for even an ill cat to refuse. Lip smacking good by itself, or added to other foods.
You know that enthusiastic sound of lip smacking? That head down, focused and intent posture that your kit takes when devouring a meal they can't get enough of?When you have a kit that needs to eat but can't or won't, that smacking sound is music to your ears, and their position at their food bowl is a sight for sore eyes.Long story short, our kit was attacked by a friends dog. They'd played together for years, so this was a fluke occurrence. (it was discovered later that the dog had a broken toe and his pain probably led to his short temper that day)Our kit will be fine, but during her recovery she's not wanted to eat much. The area on the side of her neck and throat is still sutured and the vet said she may have discomfort when chewing. We tried baby food, pate style cat food (mixed and watered down to make it softer), I even used an immersion blender in a can of pate food to further smooth the texture - - - none were enticing enough, although the baby food piqued the most interest.Although her normal diet consists of several Tiki Cat canned flavors, I did not know of this Tiki Cat Velvet product. Our friend (the owner of the dog) has been so vigilant in trying to help with our kit's recovery, that she brought several of these pouches over last week.I opened a pouch and our kit went nuts. She meowed for the first time since the accident and circled me like a shark. I could not smell anything when I opened the pouch, but I guess she did right away.I squeezed a little bit out of the pouch and she lapped it up right from the corner of the packet.I squeezed half a pouch into her bowl and that happy sound of lip smacking began. It was gone in a minute. The second half of the pouch was gone just as quickly. If you are familiar at all with a jar of Gerber chicken baby food, it's very similar to this in texture and consistency.Rather than tearing off the entire top of the packet to open, I've been just snipping off a corner then squeezing out the serving portion. This makes it much neater and cleaner to dispense. After using this by itself for 2 weeks, our vet suggested adding in some of her previous favorite wet foods. These pouches are a godsend, but they are quite spendy. As much as it's a joy to see her eating again, I was a bit nervous she'd continue to refuse her other food even once she's completely healed.I squeeze a bit of this Velvet on the bottom of her bowl, dish a spoonful of her usual wet food on top of that, then squeeze a bit more Velvet on top - - - like a Velvet sandwich. It works and she's been eating the entire bowl of food this way for over a week now.Knowing how much she likes it, I will continue to buy this and serve it this way even after she's fully recovered.
