Works great, does it's job!
To make it work correctly, leave about 3 mm empty space between the plunger and the object you want it to push. This separation will give the plunger time to get up speed and power otherwise it won't work. The solenoid draws 1.25 amps at 12 volts when operating.

works but, quickly becomes very hot
I connected this to an 11 volt battery. It extends about 10 millimeters. It gets extremely hot very quickly if you keep it extended.

Not 20 Newtons...
I bought two of these for an engineering project and they average just under 3 newtons. I can still make them work, but they're not as advertised.

The product can very very hot and me become an issue if the environment cannot dissipate the heat!
