We purchased this book for a grandchild who lost a key part of reading proficiency. The book is labeled for 5th grade readers and our grandchild is in 6th grade but unless he gets strong 5th grade understanding he won't be able to catch up. He did not get his feelings hurt because he understands that he has an issue and is willing to work to correct it.I emailed the seller asking whether they felt they could get it to me before Christmas. I received a great response back telling me they felt it would. Customer Service went out their way to be responsive & I am happy to say it arrived in plenty of time. I would happily buy from this seller again.

I really like this book. My daughter has ADHD. The stories are short. Each lesson is only 2 or pages so we can do 1, 2 or 3 lessons in a say.

My parent loved this book!

My daughter didn't want to do these reading tasks mainly because she was bored and because it meant extra work in the summer. This book requires parental involvement so consider that before getting it. We just decided to find together books that she was interested in reading and she got into it much much more than with this study aid. Technically I can't give a lot of feedback on it because we didn't really use it, but know that Sylvan has great educational tools and centers so it might be worth a try.
