Great timer - Discovered you can even set the seconds for on/off
These are really slick & reliable. I have two - one that I've had for over a year and another I just received. They state up to 16 on/off programs but my new one actually has 28! I use one for cycling 12v power to my wifi router for a nightly reboot. The other I use to cycle 120v power to my laser holiday lights because the laser lights otherwise only stay on for 6 hours. I took the holiday lights down last year and one year later I took them out of storage and the programs and clock were still held in memory and still accurate. As noted the battery keeps the memory but the relay only operates when 12v is applied on the power terminals. But you can cycle off the 12v power as I do with my holiday lights at dawn, then when 12v is reapplied (at dusk) the timer operates the relay again on the set schedule. One thing the manual does not mention is that you can also adjust the seconds for each on/off time. To set seconds, when you are in program mode for any on/off sequence, just press the "manual button" to advance the seconds - it shows the seconds on the screen, in addition of course to day, hour, and minute. So for the router I use just one program set to on at 2:00:15 and off at 2:00:00 - therefore off for just 15 seconds at 2:00 AM. Really slick, love these!

rechargeable battery still works after five years
I got one five years ago and it worked great for my purpose all summer. After not using for several years, it still works for a new project. I thought the backup battery would be dead; but it charged up and is working well enough so when I disconnect to move it, it keeps all my timer settings.

when you get a working one its great
had one that just didnt work, but the other functions flawlessly and has so many options for setting the power on that its totally worth the issue with the first one. Used to control a pond aerator system charged by 24v solar to a drop down converter to this timer then to the air pump.

Works like a champ
I needed a simple timer to control the low voltage house number light fixture of my home. The light is powered by the doorbell transformer and was on constant. Setup, install, and programming was a snap. The timer has a useful red light indicating the "on" mode. The only negative is the programming does not allow overlapping programs, i.e, one program for winter hours and one for summer. It does allow on at 2 pm, off at 3 pm, then on at 4pm, etc.9

Here it is.
Ok. This is one of the companies that slightly begs for feedback. At least they tell you after you purchase that they will email you a few times to check on their product and see if you are happy. I am satisfied enough with the product. 3 stars? Well, it is a case of you get what you pay for. I bought this to control an exhaust fan hooked into a solar unit. I did not want it to run 24 hours. The timer is easy to hook up, easy to program. So here is the deal with the 3 stars. Packaging was good, however upon opening the box the unit had a distinctive rattle. The unit was on, appeared to work, so I left it until it was time to install. At time of install I opened it up to find the screw to hold the circuit board on had come off. No problem, I screwed it on. For the price I was not going to make a big deal about returning it if it works, and it does. The case is not the sturdiest. I bent a tab pulling it apart to fix it, but it still holds good enough to use. All I needed was a simple program for the same time on and off 7 days a week. As I said, that went well. Now, depending on how you look at this, the only other complaint would be the manual control button. Today I went to turn the exhaust fan OFF manually, but hitting the button did not accomplish it. When I installed it; it turned on using the manual button? So, if there are more steps to manually turning it off, then my complaint would be that there are too many steps to manually turn it off. Otherwise I am happy, no big deal. Works about 90% as expected.

Excellent design, well made, good price
Extremely useful, well designed timer. I use this to manage electrical devices in my solar-powered outhouse. at my weekend cabin in the woods. I use multiple schedules to manage the fan and motion-detector lighting differently on weekdays, Fridays, and weekends to enhance battery performance and to optimize composting. The internal rechargeable battery and the orange on-indicator light are particularly useful features. It is a solid device with a good four point panel mount. I like the timed locking feature because it prevents guests from accidentally reprogramming the timer or turning off automatic setting. The timer comes with four short wires with blade connectors. Longer wires, perhaps eight inches, would have been more useful, and I would not have needed to make up my own.Programming is convenient and not difficult, but it requires thought and attention to create a logical schedule without errors if you are making more than a few entries.
