Brilliant bit of kit
I love this thing. I have DAB radio in the car but not on my HiFi in my home-office and I've been missing the choice of radio stations on my old FM tuner. Bought this Fitzwilliam to go with an old amplifier and set of speakers I had. Its really easy to set up - I had it playing Internet Radio and looking for DAB stations about 5mins after getting it out of the box. The display panel on the front is bright and clear, and the text is big enough to read easily. FM and DAB reception in my room is not good with the telescopic antenna that comes included. It looks like the screw-type F connector so I should be able to unscrew it and change if for a better one. Connecting to my home WiFi was a breeze. Signal strength is OK but not brilliant compared to other devices in my home-office (laptop, mobile phone), but I don't think the WiFi antenna is changeable so I'm stuck with it. Its good enough for the audio to be clear, just not showing on the display as a strong signal. I like that its got its own volume control because the old amplifier I've connected it to doesn't have a remote control, but the Fitzwilliam does so I can adjust the volume or mute when I have to take a phonecall etc without moving from my desk. Bluetooth is also easy to connect and works like a charm. Same with MP3's on a USB stick. Its got Spotify built in but I haven't played with that yet. All in all I'm very impressed!

Simpler to use than the instruction manual makes you think. The manual is very very precise.
I'm getting older and not so tech savvy as I once was. Reading through the manual (online) before the product arrived got me stressed. It was very clear and step by step, but it was so much information. In fact, when the thing arrives and you start. It's fairly straightforward. I never used the manual. Just followed the instructions on it's little screen. Main thing I would advise others is how to save your favourite. You will work it out yourselves anyway. But you get on the station you want to save first and then hold the favourites button down for as long as it takes. Then scroll down the list to an empty line on the favourites list. Then just push "ok". That's it done. So, for the price, this is a great product and comes with so many options. Internet/FM/DAB/USB/Bluetooth and the connects via RCA to an amp or powered speakers. Even an optical line which could be used with an offboard DAC I suppose. I have one not in use, but I will see how the sound is first. And all this is just back up for me as I normally use the SKY satellite radio stations. Excellent value.

An excellent Internet/DAB/FM radio tuner that performs really well.
This is an excellent piece of kit. I waited a couple of weeks before writing this review , trying out the Internet Radio , DAB+ , and FM stations , and the reception quality has been excellent. I would point out that the telescopic aerial for DAB & FM can be unscrewed , so you can easily connect a cable with a Coaxial F type connector one end , and a Coaxial aerial plug on the other. Plug this in to an Aerial wall socket , and this improves the DAB+ & FM reception quality considerably. I would also recommend installing the UNDOK app on your Smartphone if you have one. I found it easy to do everything I wanted using that , so I haven't really had to use the Controls on the unit itself , or the supplied Remote control either. Apart from a rather small display on the Majority Fitzwilliam , which is rather difficult to see from a distance , the Unit itself performs well , and considering the price , I think is really good value too.

Very Good But Not Perfect
I was an early adopter of DAB radio with three DAB radios including a nice hi-fi model hooked up to my stereo system. Then of course DAB+ slowly took over and the stations that I listened to started to move over to DAB+ leaving me with very little station choice. The roof aerial for my hi-fi FM radio started to fall apart leaving me with a problem there as well. That's where this little beauty came in and at a very reasonable price. It's very good but not perfect hence the four star review. It's very easy to install and looks good. It has more features than I will probably need so there's no problem there. The internet radio works perfectly and gives a very good sound. The aerial doesn't work very well where I am due to my location. I think that it would have been a good idea to have a socket for an external aerial and it seems a bit mean to not include it as everything else seems to have been thought of. After a few weeks of trying the DAB+ stations and having mixed results I decided to strip some of my roof aerial cable to the bare wire and wrap that around the built in aerial. I then wrapped some tape around the wire to keep a good contact and keep it from making contact with anything else. This has worked perfectly and I can now get full enjoyment out of the DAB function. Please be careful if you try this method. The remote works fine but I do have to stand right in front of the unit to make it respond. I've found that EQ settings don't make much difference so I don't bother with that function. If you do use the EQ settings I had to reset it after every change of function which was a bit annoying. Having said all of that I am pleased with the overall performance and I consider it good value for money.
