Looks Different But Works
I was disappointed when I first received this power supply because it looked different and cheaper. After examining it I discoved it was a Polycom power supply 24 VDC 500 MA just as the old one I had. I plugged it in and it works fine. I don't know if Polycom has switch to a newer design or what. I actually prefer the newer one because the cord passes easier through wire holes in desks.

Well priced, excellent replacement.
Purchased this power supply as a replacement for a unit that mysteriously vanished from our office. Works exactly as advertised.

Perfect OEM replacement
I had my phone at work and it took power from the Ethernet line. I brought it home and needed a power supply. I chose not to pay $60+ for the OEM unit and chose this one instead. It's been working great for a few months. It's always on and keeps my Polycom Lync phone running great.

Works well but expensive
Only a 24v DC power supply would work for my VOIP phones. This one had an extra unnecessary attachment that wasn't shown in the picture and I threw out. But it apparently drove the price up. Ended up having to pay double just to get the right cord.

Good solution for single cable setup
Great solution for my cx500's that I mounted onto a workstation on our production floor. Saved money by not having to run a separate cable for the phone. I just used a $20 d-link switch paired with this power block and I was able to run everything in the workstation off of one cable.

Didn't work with my SoundPoint IP501
This didn't work with any of my phones, they work fine with 12V power supplies, but not this 24V one.

works as expected
I have a polycom phone system with 10 phones. After an office renovation, one of the power supplies went missing. I was faced with purchasing an expensive new phone. I took a chance on this and plugged it in. It was very reasonably priced and does the job perfectly. Saved me a significant expense.

Polycom SoundPoint IP Universal AC Power Supply
AC Power Supply did not provide power for the phone. Did not meet my needs. Unusable. Requested power cord for a specific model and it did not work.
