Excellent replacement for old Redmond motor
This was a perfect replacement for my fan. I replaced a 60 year old REDMOND motor that was very loud using the detailed drawing. Except for the straight plug on the new motor vs the angled plug on the old one (minor issue for me) it went smooth. I reused the existing mounting hardware. Just take note of which direction the plug faces on the mounting bracket. The new motor is much quieter and works perfectly.

Works great
Works great but is louder than my old fan. Easy to install and replace the old one. I’m just happy to have a working fan without spending a ton of money at Lowe’s or HD.

Good replacement
Good replacement for through the wall exhaust fan. The original motor had a thick nut Therefore, I had to space out the nuts on the replacement motor by using flat washers, to the mounting support bracket.

Defective Replacement Motor - Disappointed
The media could not be loaded. I was excited to receive the replacement motor for my ceiling fan, but unfortunately, it arrived defective. When I spun it manually, it made a clanking sound, which became even worse when I powered it on. You can see what I mean in the attached video. Based on the reviews, this motor seemed reliable, and it probably is for most people. However, my experience was different, as I ended up with a defective unit, so I’m giving it 1 star. I tried contacting the vendor for a replacement, but the process through Amazon was so confusing that I gave up and decided to return it instead.

Simple and Easy Replacement, Cheaper than replacing entire exhaust fan unit
Direct replacement for my kitchen exhaust fan. Much cheaper than replacing the entire fan unit. Few screws and it was in place of the old one, and fixed. Much quieter than previous failed unit.

Works great.
Perfect for an older kitchen fan. Some reviews said it is louder, meh, maybe a little but I think it is due to it being more powerful and it is the force of the air making it slightly louder. Which is good for a kitchen fan because sometimes my wife cooks.
