Peter Thomas Roth | Instant FIRMx® Temporary Face Tightener

Ive been looking at and read many reviews about this PTR FIRMX TEMPORARY facial tightener. I finally purchased through Amazon, best price I had seen. This is the first line of product that many reivewers noted leaves a white shadow or residue after drying. But I wanted to try this product anyway, so I ordered it and it came to me well packed, one large 3.4 fl.oz. tube. Which IMO is a nice supply for a good month at less than $25.00 and undamaged. I used this PTR next day, I read the many reviews and applied it per pkg instructions, saw it presented on QVC and remembered how they applied it on models. I just dont have time to wait 7-10 minutes for it to dry. I applied it onclean moisturized face. Put a pea? or pencil head size on my finger and dabbed it onto the 11's ( forehead),above eyebrows and on brow bone, also on the sides of my eyes "crows feet" and marionette indentations, got my dryer outand dried it. It actually DID help ...and then I applied a little bit of foundation trying not to make or move my expression as I applied. The product did leave a bit of a white shadow on my olive skin, and also I noted the productbegan to "Pill up" (reivewers mentioned) into tiny particles as I dabbed on the bit of foundation. So I decided to usemore of the PTR product mixing it onto my fingers as I also added my beige foundation ...dabbing/pressing it ontomy skin with the foundation. I felt the slightest tighening, but nothing that "pulled" ...I realized that it was stayingin place, no more "pilling"....my lines were and remain a " shadow" of what they priviously were before, and the white reside was gone. This is my honest review, NO, I am not a paid contributer.My age is 69..I am active, I teach kickboxing 2X a wk,body builder, I walk 3-4 miles every other day, maintain a healthy diet so my skin is firm but is showing the natural signs of aging. I am satisfied with this PTR product and do recommend it. Before giving a negative review, please do try it, keeping in mind it is not going to REMOVE wrinkles or lines permanantly, it is Temporary. Anything permanant is drastic and has its drawbacks, or worse side effects. Take care of Your beautiful skin....whatever it is!I am NOT getting paid for this review, its my honest review.I am turning 70 in June this year, I do eat well, exercise and instruct kickbox classes. So my skin is firm but really is showng signs of my age. I am very pleased and impressed with this product I use it how I feel best "fits my skin" needs for the result I want or hope for.I am going to purchase the Newer PTR product when I am done with this current product. I really was not expecting anything more than what some of the negative reviews gave. Its not PERFECT, but for this mature woman,it does what it is advertized about. I see a slight improvement and am not using as much foundation, although I don't use much, just a bit to cover the age spot on my cheek and to cover/hide the dark circles I inherited.My review is true for me Only...But for the price I paid, and the improvement I have seen in 7 days...it is a Keeper and cheaper than going under needles and having one eye smaller and more closed than the other one. I like PTR product for now. Give it a try...nothing is perfect but its worth a try. I recommend it right now. Good price and again I will try the Newer improved tightener in the future. USED ONCE. I AM RETURNING THIS. HERE'S WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW.FOLLOW THE DIRECTIONS! Use a minimal amount. Allow it to dry 3-7 minutes. It takes up to 7 minutes to see the desired effect. Those stating here that it leaves a white residue have applied too much of the product. A tiny bit of this goes a long way. I had NO white residue.PROS:It does what it promises. While it doesn't get rid of dark circles under the eye, it DOES tighten the skin. When I put it around my "crow's feet", after about 6 minutes - those little lines disappeared.The skin under my eye became taught and smooth.HUGE CON (WHICH OVER TIME WILL AGE THE SKIN AROUND YOUR EYES):The delicate skin under my eye became INCREDIBLY, HUGELY, MONUMENTALLY - VISIBLY - DRY. This skin tightener works well, so long as you NEVER move your facial muscles. About a half hour after applying a tiny amount, my skin had indeed tightened. I held a mirror up to my face and smiled, and all of a sudden ALL OF THE SKIN UNDER MY EYES WAS NOTHING BUT TINY WRINKLES. That area of my face suddenly looked incredibly old and aged. I was about to go meet friends, so I tried to get rid of the dryness by applying a thin coating of under-eye moisturizing cream. Waited for that to sink in a bit, then did a tiny bit of powder to hide the blotches caused by the removal of the skin tightener.I cannot NOT recommend this enough. If you use it, just do not ever smile or move your facial muscles, and you'll do fine. It arrived yesterday. It is being sent back tomorrow. Bad, bad, bad. Please save your money.

The cream works and last a good 4 hours but if I want to put make up it shows a milky coat. I have to used without makeup and you have to shake it really good before applying it.

I’m really not sure how to rate this I will say it lightly tightened my hooded eyes I also put it on my neck because I’ve lost weight and it looks a little saggy and it tightened my skin a little but it left a white residue and once I cleaned that up it’s like the product I guess disappeared and it stoped working after maybe 30 min, I wish I could get my money back but oh well. Maybe it works better or last longer on other people.

I’ve repurchased numerous times and it is part of my daily routine. Yes, it can leave a white chalky residue if you use too much, and it does NOT play well with other make up products that are liquid based. However, I use this to eliminate under eye bags, smile lines and forehead lines…and it works wonderfully. The trick is to use a VERY small amount ..pea size dollop and put it on clean, dry skin with no other products on it (no moisturizer, foundation, etc.). The only exception is my maybelline fit me concealer, which I use to tint the product. I put the concealer on my hand next to my pea size dollop and I blend them together with a damp finger, then apply a very thin layer under eyes, down smile lines and across forehead. I am NOT using the concealer to conceal,but to tint the product so it eliminates the white residue. It will look like you have no make up on at first, but if you wait for a few minutes, you can feel it tightening. This is a good time to blow dry hair. Try to remain expressionless. Don’t move your face, so no brushing teeth, talking, etc. do that ahead of time. Once it is BONE DRY…and I mean bone dry..then you can finish makeup using powder foundation, eye shadow, etc. it lasts all day and really softens lines in your face. It can look a little plastic when you first apply but it softens as the day goes on.

I ordered this reluctantly because of the price but a friend told me how great it is. Heaven knows whether temporary or not I can use the help.We’ve all heard of the as seen on tv #1 competitor but when you compare the price & size against this one, well it’s a no brainer.When it tells you to use a SMALL amount please do so or you’ll have white streaks wherever you have used it. Bottom line….. it works just as well as the other I mentioned above (PD). My gripe would be the same as with the others of this type, it does wonders under & around the eyes and pretty well for any vertical lines on either side of the nose. Where I have never seen any difference is where I personally need it most and thats around the lips, referred to as smokers lines by some. In all fairness though none that I have tried have ever made a difference with those lines. Just remember that a little goes a loong way. Hope this helps.

So, I came across this product on my nightly scroll through reels. I thought, wow! i searched for more videos and found even more wow! i figured i would look on amazon and was happy to see the lower price. I read the instructions and watched some videos. The 1st i tried to apply it, it went wrong. white residue like most say. hmmm. so i waited and tried again the next day (after more reading). This time, i was able to make it work. I am in my early 50s and have folds around my mouth and crows feet. i dabbed a small amount on my fingers and started at my mouth, rubbing it in an upward motion. Don't use more than a dab (think #2 pencil eraser). then i went to my undereyes. I could instantly feel it tighten and after several minutes did a mirror check. What i noticed first were the lined around my mouth virtually disappearing and then my eyes! wow! for each application i used the same amount. you have to work fast because it does dry.the first time i tried it, i mixed it with my foundation which yielded zero results (it's water based). this time i'm using my powder foundation and it is soooooooooooo much better. My face does feel really tight which is a little strange. I don't think i will use this daily but i am thankful i have something that i can turn to when i need to. I did not put any moisturizer on my face prior to applying product. I have seen some videos where people are doing that and they end up with the residue or it not working. Also, like some have said there is a lot of trial and error (mostly error) but once you figure it out it really does do what it says.

I tried this product daily for about 2 weeks.PROS: It does TEMPORARILY tighten the skin. I have Some deep wrinkles on my forehead and between the eyebrows. They completely disappear after I apply the product incompletely clean, unmoisturized skin. The pores get tighter and I feel my skin get very tight.CONS: there are many!!!!1. The product leaves thin white film on the whole face and if there are any spots that ended up getting slightly more product, the white is very visible.2. When the product dries completely, the skin feels dry and sort of fuzzy or even like a fine sandpaper. Not very pleasant!3. The minute I wash the product off, or apply ANY skincare or cosmetics product over it, the tightening effect disappears completely. Not a trace of the tightness or smoothness4. If I apply ANY tinted moisturizer or foundation without washing off the product, it just cakes up and sits on top of the skin very visibly. Plus, the tightening effect disappears completely.5. If I mix In the product into my other skincare products, it has NO effect.So, in conclusion, I would NOT recommend this product because it cannot be used with other skincare and makeup products. So the purpose of it is solely to apply, let it dry, look at your smoother skin in the privacy of your home for a few minutes, wash it off and see absolutely no lasting effects after it. This product is useless, although the TEMPORARY tightening effect is there. I see no useful benefit in this product at all.pictured:1. Photo of the product2. It looks like a white substance when it dries up.Though once it tightens on your face skin does look younger.

ファンデションはリキッドやクッションファンデの人は難しいと思います。パウダーファンデもオークル系のほうが隠しやすいと思いました。このジェルを塗った後乾いた状態は白い感じになっていますので明るめのパウダーファンデなら目立ちました。色々と試したり使ってますが…動画のようにはいかず夜寝る時や休みの日に使ってます。美容液でもないし？良い使い方のコツを知りたいです。
