5 year old loves it. Some of the things are not very obvious for me, eg. I couldn't see this was Pic of sun but my kiddo did, lol.It's fun book to practice phonics sound

My 5 year old loves learning from this phonics book....before this book she “hated” phonics. This has been so helpful in teaching her important kindergarten skills.

The Summer Bridge Activities workbooks are an easy and fun way to help your kids stay on track during school breaks. Beginning with Pre-K level and going up, there is something suitable for most all ages. Designed to be used over 12 weeks, each daily activity should be able to be completed in about 15 minutes depending on the child. The activities in the workbook are fun which is important to keep kids wanting to participate and some even require physical activity which is great! Although the books are said to be based off state standards, only you will know which level you should purchase for your child as they may be slightly behind or ahead of their upcoming grade. And in my opinion purchasing the next grade up would be a good way to challenge and encourage your child if they are motivated. Overall the price of these workbooks are well worth the continued knowledge that they will receive and if just a few minutes a day can be set aside to make it an enjoyable experience it will also be a wonderful way to add in some quality time with your child.

For the amount of activities you get in this book, you cannot beat the pricing. My kid will rarely sit down and "do work", so it's nice to not have to spend a fortune in case this never gets used. Heck, I'll be happy if he does 2 or 3 pages. Straightforward directions, nice simple activities and a range of them. Pleased with this purchase.
