Is it necessary to orient this blade in a particular way when installing? There's a flat spot on the housing . . .

Make sure you are not trying to put the blade in the spot for the auto blade. It does not need any special rotation and fits fine in the manual blade spot.

The blue top blades you turn manually the blade itself. If it’s not turning then there may be a piece a paper Jammed inside and you will need to purchase a new blade
