I think they did a great job on this reissue! I own an original CD release from 1984 as well as the German remastered version. I also own two original cassette and the Vinyl LP from 1984 and this reissue is a great addition to my collection. Being a B-Boy back in those days, I was greatly influenced by the movie Breakin' when it first came out in '84. Everytime I listen to this great soundtrack, it instantly brings me back to my B-Boy days!Remastering was great on this reissue and close to the original CD. Very dynamic with minimal compression. Great sound! Maybe because Rick Rubin didn't have anything to do with it! The packaging is a Digipak which I don't mind at all, it gives you that "LP" sleeve style packaging. But it doesn't have the protection that a jewel case offers. The sleeve graphics are great and it even comes with a reproduction of the original movie poster! A nice touch which fans will be excited about! As an owner of the original version, I'm very happy with this reissue and I think they did a great job with the remastering and the CD sleeve graphics. It definitely won't disappoint!

I have been looking for this soundtrack on cd since I was 16 (33 y/o now) and finally it has arrived! I was skeptical at first that it might be a bootleg with sub-par audio sound and a ghetto cd case but it was from that. Laugh if you want, but when I played the cd (immediately after opening) I started to cry because of the memories it brought back of my sister taking me to see this movie then dancing to the LP.The cd was packaged pretty well and it came in record time. I placed the order on 09/17 and it arrived 09/21.I still love the movie (of course I have the dvd) but having these awesome songs available for listening at my own will has been the best gift I have received in a long time. Thank you, thank you, thank you so much for finally putting this soundtrack on CD and with such good quality.

Well you can't stream this. Looked for the album, then looked for the tracks individually, then gave up and bought a CD!So happy, from those opening beats of Ollie and Jerry's Breakin, to the love songs of 99 1/2 and Ain't Nobody this is a fabulous collection of 80s tracks to take you back (most likely to your teenage years).The sleeve graphics are great and it even comes with a reproduction of the original movie poster!

The Breakin' cd is a good buy if you love break dancing at it's best the only problem and it's major the cd I purchased is missing Tour De France (Breakin 1984) by Kraftwerk We all remember Turbo in front of the store. How do you leave this off the soundtrack smh.

I wanted this CD just because of Chaka Khan "Ain't Nobody" song. I'd forgotten about "Showdown", instrumental jam that i can't resist playing a few times. Wow, i miss those days of good, fun music that you could easily dance to the beat. Everybody wanted to pop lock and street dance the best they could without being made fun of.

What memories this soundtrack brings back! I used to have the cassette tape of this and I've missed listening to it so much. So glad I found this! This will never get old....will always be one of my all time favorites!!!
