First time doing this to any phone, I watched several videos before attempting. I will say that this cover is pretty darn close to the look and feel of original, but it's not quite the gorgeous glass of oem. My camera flash cable did not break as other reviews had mentioned, but I was very careful with the cover when exposing the internals the first time. I took the cover off and just slightly proped up one side and disconnected the wire, from there it was pretty straightforward. Wish I had attempted this earlier, but my battery was starting to go as well so I replaced that at the same time as the cover. I would buy this cover again, it's been a week and it hasnt scratched or broke in any way.

I replaced my cracked back of my phone with this kit. The adhesive was fine, removal was easy with just a hair dryer. However, if you want to keep your camera intact and keep the LED flash, if your camera is fine and you're replacing just the back, I recommend removing the camera piece that comes with this and salvaging your old camera and all the pieces associated with it. I mixed and matched parts and it looks and works great! Worth the money!! Plenty of helpful videos on YouTube as well.

First of all, I like this backing way better than the original one. It feels more like a rubbery super thin, more durable plastic than glass, but not cheap looking. It looks better than my original one. Removing it is easy using a video (just maybe stat from the top or bottom, not side). If you try to repair this and replace the battery, you'll pay about $40 for materials total. If you try to have a phone fixing store do it, they will charge $80 just for the labor if you provide the parts. I wish I had asked the store to do it. Even watching the videos on YouTube, I broke the flashlight sensor flex cable. That cable is as thin as electrical tape, and it doesn't remove easily. When trying to pry it off, it tore and now my phone has no functional flash or flashlight. It would have cost about $200 for the store to fix all of the issue and order parts, so I'm glad I didn't go that route, but if you don't have any experience fixing phones, pay very close attention to the flashlight cable removal process and watch that part a few times from a few different videos before attempting to do it yourself. Mine didn't snap off anywhere nearly as easily as in the video. Repairing that flashlight looks more complicated than replacing the battery and case. Also, it doesn't feel like the top and bottom align perfectly, so I can get my nail under the back of the case if I try. I may need to remove it and adjust again. The case itself is a great buy. Just be ready to part with your flashlight if you don't know what you're doing.

I've had this for a few months now, and it's still lasting great, even through several drops (with the clear case that came with the phone). I think this is some kind of plastic rather than the original glass, but I actually prefer the look and feel of this replacement. Scraping off the old adhesive (and glass fragments) was a pain, but you'd have to do that no matter which replacement you purchased. Other than that, installation was easy and quick.

the quality seems good while opening it up but as I go to put in the part, I noticed it was missing the ribbon that connects to the phone that powers the light.

It wasn't that hard to do but not easy either. I had a hot air gun and this made the difference to getting this job done. No instructions - so youtube came to the rescue.
